Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandIf there is live music nearby, as there was when we were staying, you can really hear it loudly in the room. Earplugs are recommended. There is no table in the room, so if you need to use your laptop, you will have to go the lounge downstairs or be in bed.
Location is excellent and basic room is ok as you mostly just sleep in hotel.

SerbiaInternet connection wasn't that fast, but it wasn't that big of an issue.
Location is perfect for going around Stockholm on foot. Rooms are nicely designed and even they are not that big, they are quite nice for a short stay. We had an issue with our shower, but the staff was great and they changed our room immediately. In the lobby of the hotel there is a nice lounge area with a lot of space to hang around. We really enjoyed our time in Scandic Go and would definitely come back again.

The location is excellent, really close to the central station and main shopping area. Great cafes, bars and restaurants nearby too. Check-in was super easy and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Clean room with free toiletries. The bed was super comfortable and the room was warm even with cold temperatures outside! Definitely recommend!

United KingdomWe didn’t like that there was no chair or desk in the room. Only the smallest windows opened and the air conditioning and heating weren’t adjustable, the room was too hot. We didn’t like the loud building works starting at 7:30 each morning.
We liked the friendly staff greeting you as you walked in. The bed was comfortable. We liked the shower. We also liked the location.

SwedenI did miss the breakfast from other Scandic hotels, but understand that they have a different concept. They had other options on demand so you don’t have to starve. Just not the abundance of the luxury hotel breakfast 🥞
It was a great hotel. I loved the design. I did a lot of creative work while I was there, and it was a good atmosphere to focus.

GreeceThe staff seemed a bit awkward whenever I interacted with them and not very willing to help. For example, the internet wasn’t connecting when I first arrived and when I went downstairs to report it, the girl there seemed at a bit of a loss. Thankfully the internet connected while I was talking to her. Even though I do my own research and I rarely ask questions at reception, I thought I’d ask a couple this time but I left with no helpful answers. Also keep in mind if you’re visiting here soon, there is construction happening right next to the hotel and if you have one of those back facing rooms, you’ll hear everything from very early in the morning. I was there Friday, Saturday and Sunday night so I was lucky for most of my stay but Monday morning before checking out, you could hear the work and interactions of the construction workers.
Comfortable room and bed! The wifi was fast and stable. Location is very close to the central train station and the hotel is walking distance from a lot of the main attractions.

GermanyThe room was way too small, as was the bathroom. There is not enough place to ope your luggage. They have an option of rooms without windows (which should really be against the law). The air conditioning was blocked and the room was too hot in late April. I had to open a window. The TV only works if you pair it with your device. No regular TV. You need to scan QR codes for everything. It's kinda of a pain. They don't take cash. The breakfast is pretty bad (don't buy the brekkie deal. Just go have breakfast somewhere else). The room is not cleaned everyday unless you pay extra for it. The location is ok, but not great. Close to a bus station, but about a 10 minute-walk to the central station/metro.
The hotel is pretty ok for a 3 star hotel. It looks cool and has the basics. They have an elevator, outlets close to the bed, hair dryer.

United KingdomThis is still bothering me. At this hotel, it is technically possible to come in, go directly to the lifts, go to the 5th floor (this is where I stayed), and then to any room on this floor. Ok, this is also possible in other hotels. Now what is bothering me. 1) In order to go out, before reaching the lift on the 5th floor, there is a door between the room's corridor, and the lift hall. In order to open this door, you need to unlock it using your room card. That is really strange. This lock should be on the other side, I mean, when you leave the lift, you should unlock this door with your room key, and gain access to the room's corridor. 2) This is a safety risk. In case of fire alarm, one might leave one's room without carrying one's key. When you get to this door which you need to go through to get access to stairs, there is a lock that can only be unlocked with you room's key. You might say: we have an electronic system that in case of a fire alarm will unlock the door. And I will say: Electronics do fail and you don't want to realize that if the worst happens. And there is an easy solution for this: IMO, this lock should be swapped to other side. 1) It would increase security because only people coming from the lift with a key room can get access to room's doors. 2) In case of a fire alarm, it wont block anyone going from room to stairs since the door will always be unlocked in this direction.

United KingdomWould have liked an option to have a do not disturb sign in front of our rooms door as cleaners could have come in any minute. Tv did not work! Couldn’t get any satellite channels. Only option was to connect phone to the tv but the connection was bad so it did not work, so couldn’t use the tv at all.
