Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere are only a pair of machines that dispense black coffee and hot water in the Breakfast area, and I found the coffee to be truly awful, even mixed with milk and sugar, the coffee in the breakfast area machines was appalling. This actually surprised me, I've travelled to Scandinavia numerous times and had not previously encountered such an obvious "gap" in a restaurant's breakfast offerings. Typically, I've encountered automated machines, Nespresso dispensers and similar, so this was a surprising disappointment. They do "have" an espresso machine that makes lattes and cappuccino in the lobby, but it was non functional for milk Drinks the first few days, and gone altogether in my last few days (I stayed 8 Days). Great coffee was available in the restaurant, but only after 11.30am *and closed altogether 1 day per week), so I was ducking across to the railway station for decent coffee routinely while working The room set up could be better thought out (I stayed in an amazing room with an incredible view on the 12th floor) but the gap between the foot of the bed and the desk was tiny, it would have been far better to have gad it along side the other window where there was more space and still an amazing view. I'm discovering that this is "not a thing" in Sweden, but even on a freezing day outside, the rooms could get quite hot - which in itself is not a bad thing, but you could not keep drinks cool - so maybe I'm way too Australian and this is such a standard thing where I'm from but warm soft drinks / sodas are not great, even on a cold day. If you can afford a small portable drinks cooler from a nearby retailer, it may be worth bringing with you to this hotel (or most of them in Sweden) :-) Again, these are just my observations and are not major criticisms of a wonderful hotel and its amazing staff.
Really loved the staff and the breakfast (for the most part). The location was amazing and everything was close by (except for the A6 / Asecs mall). I will be writing more about what I didn't like - but these are simply a matter of "what could they maybe do better?" and "If you aren't use to Sweden, think ahead and factor things in" so your expectations are appropriate I truly cannot overstate how truly grateful I am to the staff, especially at reception, the bar and the cleaning staff as everyone was friendly, engaging, customer focused and extremely helpful.

United StatesThe dining room staff told me “it’s just a few steps” rather than directing me to the elevator as I requested.
Breakfast was good quality with several choices. The sirloin on the dinner menu was flavorful.

LatviaThe room itself looked a little let down. There was some stains on the walls and something sticky on the carpet (jam maybe?). There was dust on the lamps and some surfaces. It looked and felt a bit used before and not cleaned/made up very carefully. I didn't get that fresh feeling of a room. Maybe it is just natural wear and tear, but for the price (aprox. 1690 sek) I expected more.
I liked the Hotel itself - building, reception. Staff was friendly and helpful. I liked online check-in and check-out options. I liked that in the room I could boil water and make coffee. Room was quiet.

Sweden-Bathroom was somewhat small. -Sink design is so bad. There is a big area where a larger, nicer sink could be placed. With current sink, hands are touching the ceramic around time to time. -No feet towel was present. -Bed felt uncomfortable after both nights. -Someone else's socks were in the wardrobe area.

SwedenThe lighting was very poor. No possibilities to increase the brightness in the room. A few weak lamps. Saving energy is good, but not to the level of discomfort. No refrigerator! No wardrobe. The temperature in the room was very low when I arrived. It took several hours to reach an acceptable level (21.5). Although I asked for cleaning, it was forgotten the first day.
The room was specious, clean and with a very nice view. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, and I really enjoyed it every day.

MexicoThey should tell the guest that the cleaning service will not be done unless they ask for it the previous day before 10pm. We as tourist didn't know about this and they dont tell you, and when we asked they said that the "instructions" are posted next to the elevators, that we should've read. We recomend to give this information during the check in.
