Unfortunately the place needs a lot of work. It's pretty clean despite lack of new furnishings. The bathroom could be a little cleaner, and may benefit from a proper shower tray. I suppose it's a work in progress.

The stuga of 30m2 was very small for 4 people especially as we had to stay in most of the time because of the very bad weather. No comfortable sofa or couch to relax or read in. The view was supposed to be ‘garden facing’ which was almost true but you also had the view of an opposite hotel and parking site with people walking by (and little privacy in the stuga bathroom). If you can, book the appartment with lake view! Catering was quite pricey.

The location of the hotel by the lake is amazing. There is a small beach and a bigger, public, sandy beach a few meters away. There is a 4 km walk around the village which is highly recommended. The place and village were very quiet. The sauna and jump in the lake were nice. Helpful and friendly host Joakim.

It was a little bit tight for the 4 of us when eating and cooking inside in the kitchen area, but if the weather is good then the outside eating area is very nice.

The cottage we stayed at was very cute and clean with comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful right on the lake with a sauna, BBQ and rental kayaks all available on the property.

We liked everything about the Smålandsgården. Comfortable, nice room with proper armchairs to sit & relax, good view to the lake and garden, a balcony, good bed, good shower. And best of all, with its own personal charm, away from the standard chain offers. We only stayed for a stopover night, but it deserves a longer stay. Perfect for a getaway.

Except for the hotel restaurant, there is no restaurants nearby. Have to drive to Gränna center. Breakfast can be improved.

During summer the restaurant only offers barbecue with potatoes and salad in the evening. Other options can be found at Gränna, 20 minutes by car. For those who need it: the rooms do not have TV (but WiFi)

Superb location at the shores of lake Ören situated in a very large garden with private pier and beach. Totally quiet at night. The rooms are located in a historic building where the floors do make some noise and the elevator is fairly historic as well. Rooms are rather spacious but with limited storage for clothing

Loved my room. Stayed 3 nights, first night stay I did not like (small, worn out). Could change to a large room with terrace 2nd day, which was exactly to my wishes. Evening meal really perfect and tasteful! Good chef! Location very good for my dogs, they could wander into the lake and easily get out

The interior in the house and bathroom are a bit old and rough style that doesnt match the ‘new styke’ , the extererior of house, the restaurant and reception area was very nice and newly renovated.

The location at the lake was special and the atmosphere very welcoming and nice.

We really loved the place more than expected. It was just an overnight stay on our way to Aland but we will defintely come back for a longer stay. The room was cosy, the whole property is made with taste and a big heart! Very nice breakfast and dinner in a kind of family environment. My partner asked for some veggie Dinner and without eye rolling or discussion she got a tasty meal as well. Nothing what we missed. Next time we will try the sauna and hot tub and maybe have a swim in the lake! The Place is like a photo calendar dream!

The room was old-fashioned and dark. There were no facilities to hang out as a family so we ended up hanging out in our studio room. I think it was too expensive compared to its value. Plus, my mother-in-law tried to get help from the staff and she ended up seeing them making out and got unpleasant answers when she asked a question after that. We are not against love or something but I think for the sake of professionalism this is not something you expect to see so much in the service business :)

I liked the beaches. It was perfect. I think it was the manager who was the most attentive and helpful. We stayed in a studio room it was quite spacious. My dog had so much fun there.
