Looking at it as a hostel would have liked more facilities such as laundry or kitchen, although reception had well priced drinks and snacks. Closer to a hotel experience really, and excellent value from that point of view.

Super converted prison into a hostel - well worth a visit. Tiny room but beautifully decorated. Very good friendly service. Convenient check in / out. Free parking space next to the building. Nice area and close to the metro. Very well equipped kitchen for hostel guests.

The iron was not very good and the lighting in iron room was bad. Couldn't really see the wrinkles.

Same as others have mentioned: had to pay for linen, not really a walking distance to the city center (though it wasn’t a surprise, obviously and subway can get you there quickly).

It was ok for a couple of nights, plus all the entourage. Interesting experience, nice surroundings. Some really good restaurants in the area, especially liked a Lebanese place (10 min walk from the hotel).

Beautiful setting on island, with a small beach close by. Former prison with fascinating history, rooms used to be cells. Superbly done and an interesting museum tells building’s history. Delicious and good value breakfast available.

It is the second time that we stayed here. The first time everything was very clean. I would have appreciated it if the the bed sheets and towels of the previous occupants had been taken away. Maybe just an unfortunate oversight.As we brought our own bed sheets, we didn't want to raise a fuss with our very helpful receptionist late in the evening and just changed the beds ourselves.

Very helpful and welcoming staff, especially Max went out of his way to help us. Interesting grounds, comfy beds, nice beach nearby, charming and laid back island in the centre of Stockholm.

Hard to say, maybe extra fees for towels and linens

It was really nice and non-ordinary place for a staying and we have chosen it despite the fact that some variant were were cheaper and looks almost the same. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. It is nice to have a beach right infront the hotel, pretty sad that we didnt have enough time for staying.

Room was small, but had more than enough space for two people with a personal item +carry on item (may be challenging with a checked bag as well). Room also was a bit warm (no AC), but did well with the open window (would appreciate a screen for the window to keep bugs out). Laundry was out during visit, but concierge was very helpful in accommodating. No major complaints, very satisfied.

Lovely location, next to a small beach and running trails, and a small dock for kayaks and boats. Very quiet/private, but still less than 10min away from bus and subway. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Clientelle was older/more mature compared to most other hostels I've been to, which was very appreciated.

I was quite surprised by the fact that bed linen and towels have to be extra paid (not a small amount at all). If it is not allowed to use sleeping bags, then bed linen should be included in the price of the hotel.

A cool place with an interesting history. Good that some of the character of the former prison has been preserved. Hotel well located on a small, very green and very quiet island. It was fantastic that the place was so close to kayak hire.

Walking to the subway station is a bit inconvenient because of the rocky/sandy road going up (or down – depending on the direction). The station is a bit far, but not THAT far to miss out on a place like that.

Aesthetically divine and embracing its not-so-glitzy past with a lot of humor. The staff is quite the opposite of prison wardens – helpful and extremely friendly. The rooms are impeccable and well arranged (lots of easter eggs like the "guillotine" mirror) and the breakfast in the garden area – oh my god: WORTH EVERY PENNY (endless food options)!

The rooms are pretty small. You need to pay extra for the bed sheets and linen.

The location was super convinient. Closer to tram line and the bus at 600m. surrounded by restaurants. Pretty easy getting to the Arlanda airport via the shuttle. Really liked the setup with old prison cells converted as rooms. Rooms were pretty clean and receptiom is open 24hours.

The Internet was basically non-existant in the room. The room is also very small (which, admittedly, is to be expected) meaning there aren't a lot of places for luggage so pack lightly. The area is beautiful, but far from any sightseeing. Beware when charging items at the bar to your room as we were charged as if both persons staying in the room made the order when, in fact, it was only one of the two guests.

The concept is super cool and the museum is really informative. It's pretty good value for Stockholm. The bathroom is nice and spacious and the shower has great water pressure at a consistent temperature. Staff were reasonably friendly despite being very busy.

It gets a bit hot over the summer. Opening the windows helps a bit with the air flow. Luckily the beach is just a few steps away. I would like them to provide with a toilet mat to dry the feet after getting out of the shower.

The room was tiny but absolutely cute and well distributed. It was more than enough for my sister and me. The toilet is quite large and very well arranged. The rest of the hotel is great. Beautiful and interesting building and it is just some steps away from a family friendly beach, which also has a beautiful view over the river and city.
