The bathrooms have seen better days. Some of the showerheads couldnt stay up. Some of the shower rooms had a little mold. There were badly-patched holes in the walls of the bathrooms. Wifi wasn't able to support a video call.

Staff were able to provide me with allergy-friendly alternatives for the breakfast buffet. Female-only dorm was available. Big, clean kitchen with storage space and refridgerators. Best hostel kitchen I have ever seen.

On our floor was only one toilet/shower combo. It was fine, but if you need a quick toilet break while someone else is showering, it is a little troublesome. But it was nice and clean!

The staff was very helpful and friendly over the phone and during our stay. Breakfast was excellent for the price, and there were even extra vegetarian items!

The WiFi wasn't so good, the location wasn't so strategic (a bit far from amenities), and there was an extra fee for bed sheets, pillow covers, and towels.

A good enough place to pass by the city. The room, shared toilet, and common kitchen were clean enough. The facilities were good enough. Friendly receptionist. We will stay there again if we visit Karlstad in the future, and we recommend others to do the same.

There was a big foreign team staying for trainings and / or competitions, they seemed to live (all of them), in the kitchen, all the tme. After all, it's a sports Hostel next to sports infrastructures...

Staff is really helpful and friendly - they offered a cup of morning coffee, for example. Directions and info about the city, including clever grocery shopping, are great. The building is just amazing, you can't miss it! And the inside is clean, tidy, confortable. There's a big shared kitchen with lots of utensils and cooking devices. Great shower and lots of bathrooms per floor. I was lucky enough to be alone in my dorm, it was such a rest after a much worse experience elsewhere!

I stayed there before in a private room, which was a very good experience. But I do not recommend the dorm room. Dirty room, extremely loud snoring people and I found it a bit odd that there was a double bed in the middle of the room.

The woman at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Good kitchen.

The only thing I can think of is that there weren’t any proper sinks available, and only limited number of showers. Of the later the condition and state weren’t the greatest either. But for me it was a minor detail, sleeping comfort, and kitchen working area goes above everything. Another downfall, it’s about a 25 min walk from the train station, so for some people it might be too far of a walk.

the building is stunning, they have a large common kitchen and enough fridge and storage room for everyone’s food (all rooms have their own designated shelf). and above all the rooms are large, and no bunkbeds! I slept amazing in a 5 female dorm room, which could easily have been a 12 people dormitory. But I’m im so happy that this wasn’t the case, it leaves the grandeur of the rooms in tact, and bunkbeds would have change the atmosphere and quality of this hostel in an instant.

- check in is only until 8pm (unless you arrange it by phoning in, the receptionist is very kind) - you have to pay an additional fee for linen and that makes this hostel rather expensive (I paid 46€ for one night)

The bedclothes were not included in the price,had to pay separately for the towel and a sheet.

The bed was comfortable,the room big and I liked that was the single bed,no bunk beds. The supermarket was not far,also to the center of the city in walking distance.
