How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very nice hotel just a short walk to the center. Although the hotel is located right beside the road there was no noise in the room.

The rooms towards the street are perhaps a little noisier, choose one with a view of the sea or the garden
Hotel is well situated. It has beautiful view. Rooms are modern, spacious and clean. Also contains a smart TV, work desk and a comfortable armchair for reading. The bed is very comfortable, both mattress and pillows. Each room has a terrace with two armchairs and a table. Breakfast is plentiful and varied.

The quadruple room we stayed in was big enough for our family of 4. Comfortable beds, a wide range of TV channels, a lovely sea view. Within a short walking distance from the centre of the town. Highly recommended!

A bit far from the city but we knew It. Maybe breakfast could be improved.
A great Place where to stay. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Price and quality are fine. Car park Is free and Easy.

Hotel is not located in the city center but it's 5 minute walk down the street to the city.
Great hotel for a even better price. Free parking and pool at the hotel. Helpful staff. Rooms with balcony with good view of the sea and city.

Not much
The hotel is altogether very nice, a 5 min (downhill) walk to the beach, great views over the sea. The rooms are nice, the swimming pool is great. Nice breakfast, nice and helpful staff - highly recommended!

Nothing to dislike.
Good location with awesome views overlooking the bay. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Family suite was large and comfortable. Car parking was easy. Great outdoor pool.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast with variety, room was comfortable with a balcony and beautiful ocean view. Great swimming pool. We had a wonderful time.

Maybe the glass on the balconies should be fixed/replaced :) The lights in the rooms: probably it's rather better to have warm lights inside, rather than cold color:)
Good hotel, 5 minutes walk to the beach using stairs (ask the staff for them hard to find :) ) Free parking, lot's of space. Nice pool, good decent breakfast, clean rooms.

The pool would have been excellent for a holiday as a couple. Now I felt that I had to tone the kids down an no diving, pool toys etc made us rather choose the beach instead.
Great location and service and clean.Travelling with two pre-teens the suite worked us perfectly as a family, especially the fridge helped us to keep some snacks in hand. The breakfast was not the widest in range but all the basic elements on a good buffet breakfast were available.

We stayed only one night during our motorcycle tour arround Slowenia, we really enjoyed it. The hotel is on a hill not so far away from the seaside, there is a secret stairs at the end of parking, than you go across the main street to a narrow road and down to the beach 😉. The place was super clean and well equiped, bed extremly comfy, we slept well. There is a lot of parking space by the hotel. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful, breakfast good - all you need in the morning was there. For those who like walking, you can get to the very end of Piran - the light house - by foot from the hotel, its arround 3,5 km one way, nice walk all the way by the sea. Another plus, there is a swimming pool and place to relax after road.
