Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

CanadaThe shower was ridiculous. It needs a curtain put in or the floor floods. Everyone else remarks on this, so I’m not sure why it hasn’t been fixed? It would also need ac in the summer. A fan wouldn’t be enough. The room is up 3 floors, so if mobility is an issue or your bag is too heavy, this is not for you.
Great location, staff were friendly and helpful and the windows opened. The bed was comfortable and we really enjoyed being so close to the centre of town and all the restaurants.

BrazilThere is no minibar in the room to store cold beverages or perishables. The front desk has limited hours, check the guesthouse policies in the website (https://www.viva-rooms.com/). As the rooms are located in an old building, there is no lift. So, you will need to carry your luggage upstairs.
The room is clean, big, and the location is exceptional, close to the Ljubljana Cathedral, the bus and train stations, and it is possible to visit several tourist places by foot. The beds are comfortable. The free Wi-Fi worked fine. The staff is polite.

United KingdomViva rooms are located on 2nd floor, without lift. No issue at all for me, but good to keep in mind if having mobility issues. The studio is just at the main entrance and next to reception, and with no soundproofing I could hear everything going on. Probably not a problem for someone who's out and about during the day. All in all rather minor things, I really loved staying there and I've added the place to my list of accommodations when I'm visiting Ljubljana.
The location couldn't be more convenient, between train station and city centre. The studio is spacious and comfortable, with good sized lounge and separate bedroom. Saying that, if traveling as couple or family, storage space might be an issue, but just for myself there was plenty of space. The kitchen has all you need for a short stay, bathroom is tiny but clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. I've been working remotely for few days and really appreciated the spacious table, comfortable chair and good wifi.

CroatiaThe room doesn't have any curtains or anything to cover the window. The people from the other building could see us completely. The bathroom was flooding after a shower since it has no curtain to stop the water from going out in the bathroom. I asked the receptionist for help to find a cab for my flight, it was out of her working hours and she didn't reply to WhatsApp, the next day she did which wasn't convenient and was late for me.
The location was top. Everything was near and it was quiet.

I stayed one night while in transit to another location. My room was big and spatious, quite clean, and had basic amenities required for a short stay. The location is quite central, only a 10min walk from the main train station, and in the heart of the city. Staff is friendly although I had limited interactions with them

Maltacheck in times are limited so you might need to plan in advance how youll get there, but the hotel did set up a key for us that was in an outside safe with instructions so we had no issues getting in the place.
location is bang smack in the middle of the city, they gave us a double room even though we were two people so plenty of space. room is as expected for the price but that is what you want, clean and close to the center
