How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The rooms were not completely clean (spiderwebs, dirty carpet) and in 4 days they didn't clean, just changed bags in a trash bin. TV in the room was small and didn't have a lot of channels.
Great food, wellness and saunas, staff, location.

The room is a bit old. Furniture is scratched or cracked and the carpet in the room has many stains.
The location is great. The pool is very good. The staff very friendly.

I have gluten allergy and there was gluten-free bread for breakfast and I could eat gluten-free meal. We arrived to the hotel and the next day we wanted to go hiking, but my car's battery dead. The hotel staff helped for us. He took me with the hotel's car to the nearby town (Brezno), where I could buy a new battery. He took me back to the hotel and helped to replace the battery and the car was repaired. I am very grateful to the hotel staff. They saved our vacation.

The wellness access could be included in the price which isn’t that economical or at least be charged hourly. We were out all day for hiking and certainly felt that spending 9 euros for 2 hours was a little bit too much, so we would have liked to spend a prorate of it, as it’s a Spa hotel. Otherwise we loved the Spa, very clean and comfortable. Our room was on the ground floor and we could hear the kids playing until 22:30 from the other hotel. Also we could hear when the other guests used the shower or water in general. While we understand the hotel can’t change this easily, maybe it’s a suggestion for the future renovation to insulate the walls or something like it? About the room: we found it very nice, only maybe as other guests pointed out, a renovation of the carpet would be needed.
The location is lovely, very calm and close to the main ski areas. Walking trails are within distance although we preferred to drive to some more accessible and easier trails. We loved the saunas and jacuzzi. Great breakfast and attention by the staff across all the hotel. We are happy that they provide eco friendly products like bathroom supplies. The hotel is quite close to a great restaurant, Talska Baštia, super recommended!

The staff struggles with English.
A superb SPA hotel. They completely refurbished an old building and added a state of the arts pool and saunas. The area is very relaxing - a small village surrounded by low mountains greenery. Perfect for hiking. Free parking in front of the hotel. Free internet, but with a shared connection. Good meeting/conference facilities. A very good restaurant where you can eat a la carte or from a block table. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choices of cold cuts and hot stuff. Vegetarian options easily available.

The kid's corner is open from 10 a.m., could be sooner for “early morning birds” Buffet dinner could have more variation for the given price(18€/person)
Great kids corner and swimming pool facilities, but be careful wet floor is truly slippery especially if you travel with small children.

No socket in the room for charging your mobile/PC. Room's furniture is a bit older, but functional.
Wellness/pool was perfect, including saunas and massages. The food is ok (=good for the money spend)

I'n my opinion the rooms are small and the bathroom really small. And I didn't like that you as a guest u need to pay extra for the Saunas.

The rooms are quite small. We spent 3 nights there and there wasn’t any daily cleaning in the room. Although it is a pet friendly hotel, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.
Really nice wellness and great breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.
