Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was a little noisy in the morning first thing outside of my room but other than that, everything was great.
This was my second stay at this hotel and like the first time, I wasn't disappointed. This hotel is in a great location, situated on the beach with a perfect view. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating to any requests we had. The air con worked great and the room was clean and in good condition. If I were to visit Senegal again, I would book at this hotel again.

Czech RepublicThe beach is not very clean, though not that dirty, but the sea unfortunately has also some trash quite often. It is a pitty that the second pool is not being cleaned much.
Lovely small hotel in African style, very lovely staff, great design of the tiny round houses/rooms, gorgeous breakfast, excellent lunch or dinner at very reasonable prices, refreshing pool, great place for discoveries and trips around. Great art activities, where u can paint your own painting with s local artist right next door.

PolandEverything was perfect. Sometimes wifi was not working but this is typical in Africa and out of hosts control
This is a very nice hotel just by the beach with rooms over the restaurant and small bungalows just on the beach. It serves fresh French breakfasts and tasty dinners. There are two small swimming pools and nice resting areas around. The beach is beautiful and the city is nice as well. Good store with natural cosmetics and even a deli with French food. There is also a church - an architectural pearl. Well-organized airport transfer.

PolandWe liked this place because of clean beach. Staff was really helpful and cultural. Neighborhood was dirty but it seems normal here in Senegal. Small swimming pool was clean and refreshing. Room was spacious, but they should clean the bathroom. If you are not touchy about it you will be OK.

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn’t like. We would only make a recommendation on one thing. Everything written down is in French and in French only. It’s a French speaking country of course but all other international travellers who aren’t French usually speak English. So it’s helpful to have things written down in English as well as French. The information menu in the room would be so much more useful if it were in English as well as French for example.
The hotel is literally right on a beautiful beach. The staff and owners are friendly, helpful, and kind. The food is good quality and very tasty. Whilst the menu is only in French, the team will help you translate and you can use Google translate as the Wi-Fi there works quite well. The hotel is rustic, so don’t expect a big western chain hotel. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. The air-con works and the mosquito net covers the whole bed properly to the floor. The beds are comfy and the rooms are dark due to the shutters. So you don’t get woken up by the sun. There is a safe in the room to keep valuables in. I’d highly recommend this hotel if you want a few days of doing nothing and chilling on the beach with a cocktail or beer.

BelgiumSome savoury choices would give breakfast buffet that little extra although I have to say, when asked, the omelettes are really nice.
Nathalie, Abdullah, Gordy, Fatu and the rest of the staff are super friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Easy to consult when asking there opinion about how to go about excursions for instance. The location is beachside Nianing, has a small children pool and a small adults pool. Lots of flowers and plants on the hotel premises. A very nice restaurant and huge pours on the rum ;-) Worth mentioning is the staffs almost daily effort to clean up washed ashore plastic from the beach in front of the hotel. Keep up the good work

BelgiumI booked through your organisation as i do very frequently. The price of the room was about 155 Euros for a hotel not even worth half of the price. Windows who could'nt be closed with mosquitos the whole night. Broken chairs etc... Now it turned out that people who booked straight to the hotel paid less than half the price. I asked the manager and he told he was surprised by the price asked by booking.com. This is unacceptable certainly for someone who uses your services continously. Can you correct this asap. By the way i paid the same price for a room at the Radisson Blu in Dakar. Not really the same category of hotel.
