A the Chumphon advised us to visit the restaurant nextdoor named Helio. Don't follow this advice, they served really bad food.

Nice Hotel not far from the railway station. I liked the breakfast buffet. The staff was friendly.

Initial impressions of the building are not the best. No English channels (not too serious, I suppose)

The Cockerell! Too many staff at the breakfast shift. They are busy eating, talking to each other or on their mobile phones. Not being aware of their surroundings, eg clearing tables, replenishing the ice etc.

The room was nicely furnished with a large safety deposit box that we could store our laptop in. The friendly & cheery breakfast male team member on the first morning.

It was so convenient for us to stay at from the long train ride in connection to koh tao. The pool was so clean and refreshing! The staff were so friendly and a lovely , we had a nice welcome cool drink after a long travel, it took us 11 minutes to walk to from the train station!

The tiles around the pools were loose and needed repairs. They had old scooters to rent but after we rented one they took them away.

The bed was very comfortable . The shower was great everything clean the pool was a good temperature Breakfast was good . English breakfast was good but no bacon.

While the interior is modern which is a plus, the cleaning could and should be upgraded a bit. The drawers in the closet needed a small cleaning and some of the surfaces could benefit from a bit more thorough clean as well.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, very welcoming and helpful when we had to book transport to our next travel destination. They even offered to heat our meals one evening when we couldn’t be bothered to go out to eat and instead has bought some food from 7/11 (which is surprisingly delicious compared to Danish 7/11 food) and then brought the food to our room. Such a nice gesture and it made us feel very at home. They furthermore insisted that they helped us with renting scooters and brought them to the hotel (without charging us extra), which was lovely so we didn’t have to find a shop ourselves and they took care of everything so all we had to do was pay and drive! Also, the pool is great and we had it to ourselves most of the time. Breakfast is good too.

Nothing, all was great.

We only stayed 1 night and the room was big and bathroom was very clean with big shower. We had to leave hotel next morning at 5.15am to catch 7am ferry to Ko Tao and the reception organised a packed breakfast which was amazing!

This is a perfect place to stay if you want to be in central Chumphon. Nothing fancy but comfortable and clean with a nice pool. The breakfast was a real highlight, the best we had in Thailand! It was also fantastic they offered the full breakfast very early when catching early flights.

Location is good and easily accessible to shops , night markets and train stations. Parking is great too. The staff are there for you and the pool is great to just do nothing and relax

Chumpon does not have much to offer.

Cozy room, very clean bathroom, nice pool. Very close to the highway, thus ideal to use as a transit hotel to the south.
