Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA fridge in the room could be a useful addition in the future and perhaps a little mpre selection on the menu but these are minor points. I would love to return there.
The saff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms and location were great. The use of the kayaks and a nice sized swimming pool were much appreciated.

United KingdomNot all staff are as friendly and helpful as the resort manager. The general upkeep could be better, the view from our bungalow bedroom was all litter. The breakfast was just ok. Disappointed that the ‘movie nights’ weren’t taking place.
Quite a hard review to write. I will try and make it as balanced as I can. And please don’t be put off by anything. It really was a wonderful location and we enjoyed our stay. The free kayaking and snorkel were great. The pool area was lovely. If you like nature and being off the beaten track then this is the place for you. Lots of lizards running around ( which we liked) there’s a walk up to a water fall. It’s very rugged so please wear suitable shoes. The room was nice. Comfortable beds. 2 of the staff are really helpful and friendly. I think one was the resort manager.

United StatesThe facilities are a little dated and the food was okay but again, we wished we had stayed longer there instead of on Koh Lipe where we are now.
We loved our stay at Adang Island resort. The staff and the location were great! It was very peaceful and our room was comfortable. Loved the pool area and free kayak and paddle board rental. We are on crowded Koh Lipe now wishing we had stayed longer on Adang.

CanadaThe resort is a little dated. A bit of a fly problem around the restaurant.
The staff handled transfers between Adang and Ko Lipe for us. This was very helpful! They took very good care of us in the restaurant. Water in the rooms each day, etc. The pool is great as this is not really a swimming beach. The beach at the national park was awesome, 20 - 30 minute walk.

New ZealandThe location is beautiful! You have the beach all to yourself. You can do some pretty cool hiking, there’s also kayaks available at the property and the free ride to koh lipe daily is great! The food at the restaurant was amazing! And fair pricing!

PortugalThe price of the meals are too expensive compared with Koh Lipe
The fact that is the unique resort in Koh Adang, so is a very quiet and calm option for couples that seeks tranquility. The beach is small but perfect with nature all around

CanadaDrinks were not great unless you were drinking canned soda. Would be good to have some umbrellas by the pool. Most of the chairs are unused because it is too dam hot to sit in the sun and there is no shade at all by the pool. There were some lounge chairs in the shade but not enough while others in the sun were empty. Wouldn’t stop me from coming back though. Overall, It was awesome but for the partiers.
I loved it so much i booked an additional 4 nights even though they only had more expensive rooms available. Great view, pool, breakfast, things to do. Restaurant had a lot of selection, very big portions and was reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Away from the hustle of Koh Lipe but just a short shuttle boat ride away for shopping , bars, restaurants, etc. i stayed in what i think was the least expensive cabin and it was more than adequate. I would definitely come back for a longer period.

GermanyDon’t expect a luxury resort, as mentioned in the other reviews the hotel itself is a bit dated. But this didn’t matter for us as we loved the location and peacefulness, especially for such a good price.
We had a wonderful stay at Adang resort. The location is amazing, completely isolated from anywhere else, it’s a 10min boat ride from Koh Lipe and the hotel has regular boat shuttles and they can organise extra shuttles too if you need to go early. We maximised the nature and activities and hiked up the nearby hill and waterfall as well as kayaked everyday. It was idillc. The staff were also so accommodating and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were great too.

United KingdomMy partner was a bit freaked out by the scuttling noises under the bungalows. The cabins are basic, so ensure you pack all your toiletries.
Great location. Beautiful private beach. Amazing sunsets. Very quiet at night and easy to get a good night’s sleep. Really worthwhile doing a night or two here if you are in Koh Lipe for a while. The kayaks being included in the cost is such a bonus given you’ll be paying 200b/h elsewhere. We hiked to the Chado cliff in the morning and made it back in time to have a delicious breakfast still. This took about 3 hours return and we saw huge monitor lizards, mouse deer, great hornbills. You can also kayak part of the way and leave your kayak on the National Park entry beach. Overall was a really worthwhile place to stay ahead of rejoining the bustle in koh lipe. Also, the staff are super helpful. I had forgotten my book on the beach before we departed and they sent it over by taxi boat…

SwitzerlandThe room was functional and equipped with all necessities but not very comfortable or cozy. There was no seat or sofa in the room to rest and relax. Occasional noise from neighboring room used by staff for working(?). The communal areas seem more adjusted to fun and play than relaxation; music is played frequently throughout the day.
Beautiful location in a secluded area on Adang Island, with options of hiking, kayaking and snorkeling, enjoying nature, and visiting the beach in front of the national park offices. Staff very friendly and always willing to assist with any query or request. Free longboat shuttle to Koh Lipe several times a day

United KingdomBungalows could do with a refresh and there was no fridge or safe.
Adang Island resort was a really refreshing stay. The bungalows could do with a bit of work and refurbishing, but this didn’t impact our stay. The free boat taxi over to Koh Lipe and the free use of kayaks was the highlight for us. Plus this resort has a private beach and a swimming pool. We highly recommend grabbing a kayak and doing the 20 minute journey around to the national park beach. The restaurant was good, a bit over priced but why not, when there is only one to go to without going over to Koh Lipe. The staff were fantastic. They knew exactly what we were doing and when, and were very accommodating with boat times and breakfast times given our early ferry.
