The only "negative" thing is that the water in the shower was always quiet warm and not getting cold. But it was not a problem at all and I am sure they can fix it quite easily.

Great hotel to enjoy Koh Lipe, very convenient location close to the walking street, restaurants and Taxi bikes. The beach in front of the hotel dont have any boat parked so you can enjoy the nice view and quiet from the pool or the beach restaurant. They have a few pools so they are all quiet and not too crowded. Also the room and facility is clean and well maintained.

Short walk along the beach for Walking Street which is the main street for shopping and restaurants. Fabulous pool about 50 meters long- great for length swimming. Seafood offered on the beach restaurant in the evening.

The speed boat mafia are not that good. They are a rough bouncy squashed hot bus fast boat. If you are pregnant, elderly, had breast surgery recently or have week knees or can't climb well on steps, the speed boat mafia are not for you. The speed boat mafia are rough and bouncy. They have a slower airconditioned ferry at pakbar harbour on the mainland, but it is parked up so speedboat mafia make more money...

Pools were better at times than beach water. Service and roooms were excellent and large.

That I couldn’t stay longer

From the moment I arrived I was treated like a very dear friend. The staff are so polite and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and any requests are delivered with a genuine smile. I’d like to not that May and Fit from the pool bar were exemplary members of staff who looked after us so well, they helped us with our Thai pronunciation, chatted with us and delivered a wonderful service, they’re a credit to the establishment. The villa was spectacular and I can’t fault it in any way, spotlessly clean and comfortable, absolute luxury. The hotel facilities are exceptional from the pool bar and restaurant to the gym swimming pool. The Akira is a large hotel, but doesn’t feel like it, sun beds by the pool are available and tables on the beach for a BBQ dinner in the evening are also accessible at short notice. The beach is gorgeous and the hotel is a short walk from the pier and walking street. Let the hotel know when your arrival time is and staff will meet you at the pier to help with your bags.

The breakfast was fairly pedestrian. Too many longtails on the beach but that's just because of where it is. games room and gym was tired.

We loved the wash cloths mad into the shape of little rabbits. The room was up to date and clean. Pool access room was impeccable. what's not to like about a swim up bar. entertainment was but on with the beach BBQ usually a two piece band.

The only disappointment I experienced was during a breakfast incident. As we were a group of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids) on vacation, I took 4 bananas with the intention of consuming them later. However, the staff informed me that all breakfast items were to be consumed in the restaurant and not taken away. This left me somewhat disappointed, as I was not taking away any perishable foods or pastries, but simply 4 pieces of banana.

I enjoyed the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room. The staff were extremely helpful and addressed all of my questions. Additionally, the resort's location was excellent, being only a 5-minute walk from Walking Street.

There is nothing that we didn't like. Everything was amazing, perfect, and much better than we even expected!

I have stayed at many hotels before and Akira totally blew us away. The staff were so friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile while passing by. We had the Pool Access room which was perfect for taking a swim while also having drinks on the balcony after the sun went down. The room is spacious with a huge bathroom that also had a tub. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of options. The best part was that there were different dishes every morning so we never got bored of eating the same food over and over again. We only ate at the hotel's restaurant on the first night, because the Walking Street is only 5 minutes walk away along the beach with many options of Thai and Western restaurants. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation on the beautiful island of Koh Lipe.
