Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicHowever, there were a few negatives. The staff's English was not good enough. Unfortunately, we broke a soup holder and immediately they charged us 300 THB for it. Furthermore, the pool had broken tiles, our whirlpool was leaking all the time, and the drainage was slow every time. Overall, there were a lot of things that needed repair. From my point of view, if they are not able to fix basic things, they should not charge anything to customers.
The place was perfect. An empty and clean beach. Breakfast was delicious. The bar and restaurant were a little bit overpriced, but the food was always good. The staff members were nice and tried to help every time. You can pay contactless with a debit or credit card! :) Additionally, you can use transportation to the night market or Ao Nang beach for a minimum charge organized by the hotel.

PolandThe hotel is very nicely located, beautiful plants. Although the rooms and equipment are a bit worn out, also the air conditioning smells not so good. BUT ! this is only the interior and you spend all your time on the beach or by the pool :) Very nice staff ♥ even by late check-out we could spend the whole day in the hotel and we could take a shower before back travel. It was very nice. Thank you !!!

BrazilNeeds some renovation - e.g. the pool is missing a lot of tiles, thats bit dangerous, also here and there a new paint wouldn't harm. The jacuzzi took like an hour to fill... Apart from that, excellent - as it also is not very expensive.
The nicest beach, best view and amazing sunsets. Big room with jacuzzi on balcony Good restaurant at the beach, nice bar at the beach

MalaysiaTubkaek beach is far in. And not many shops that are walking distance. So if you're looking for places to relax this is the place.
The family room was spacious. Comfortably to sleep of 4. There are 2 pools. One was nicely shaded and the other was nearer to the beach.

PolandThe major disappointment is staff. With few, really few exceptions, the majority are indifferent and do not give a damn. Some examples. Arrived in the evening and were informed at the reception the beach-front restaurant takes the last order at 10:30 pm. Been there by 9:50 and the welcome opening sentence was that it was almost 10, so we felt we should have been there at all. They have reluctantly served the food eventually. No experience was given but they still added a 10% service charge. Why not? Why not, indeed? Order, eat, pay and get the hell out. You can pass the staff and there are no hellos, nothing. Asked for some things to be replenished at the reception shop. Nobody cared and did nothing of the sort. Upon departure we said thank you but no reply was offered, they actually did not even bother to give us a second look. I do not except a lot. But after Bangkok or Chiang Mai it felt bad.
Great location, secluded but I consider it an upside. The hotel needs a lick of paint here and there but overall it gives one a good opportunity to relax. No crowds at either of the pools and the beach is quaint and white-sanded. Breakfast is wholesome with a variety of choice of ready and freshly cooked options. I would opt for a better coffee as the Nescafé machine offers poor, poor one. But then again we’re in Thailand, not Italy.

United KingdomThey could have been better organised with the booking but this a slight quibble. The hotel needs a bit of TLC and the gym is too old.
The staff were really great, very thorough and thoughtful. The hotel is lovely but needs some work. The breakfast was good as was the cocktails and general lunch and dinner service.

DenmarkNon of the staff speak very good english. There where allmost always to or tree staff to take all orders in the restaurant or talk to in the reception. They all nodded, but you often had the feeling that they had not understood what was said. And often it was true - something was wrongly served or they had misunderstood what was asked.

SwitzerlandSome facilities could be renovated. The swimming pool is quite old and not as good as before (jacuzzi in the pool no longer working).
Tubkaek beach is absolutely fantastic! The hotel benefits from a gorgeous view on the sea with the small islands of the Phang Nga bay. Sunsets are stunning! Clean big rooms with confortable beds and nice view. We liked the jacuzzi on the balcony. Excellent breakfast still with the view on the bay. Staff was nice and helpful.

Czech RepublicAccommodation in the hotel was very nice, nice staff always ready to answer your questions, breakfast standard hot and cold buffet, excellent fruit especially watermelon and dragon fruit. I was very pleased with the pleasant live music in the evening at the restaurant on the beach. A quiet beach with a wonderful view. I recommend renting a scooter and driving around the neighboring villages. The perfect destination for Dragon Crest National Park.
