The main side of the resort (hotel room side) could use some upgrading around the grounds- fair amount of wear and tear around pool (loose boards and cracked tiles) and beach umbrellas were really stained and tattered, and pool lounges are pretty worn down plastic too. however the villa side is gorgeous and much better maintained so we weren’t affected!

- prices for bikes, surf boards etc were very high compared to other places in Thailand. We managed to rent a motor bike from another place for a fraction of the price. - Far away from the town, so you need a bike, shuttle, ... to explore the town

- Excellent breakfast - Nice beach and beautiful area for long walks at the beach (not so interesting for snorkeling though) - We discovered an excellent authentic Thai restaurant (where the locals go) a few kms away and had the best dinner there - We enjoyed the views from the pool and the beach.

Two things. 1. I’m not sure if their accounting system does not work properly. A few times we asked for our account statement and every time there was something on that was not supposed to be there. For example: one time 5 nights accommodation were added even though all nights were paid for the day we arrived. Later on the transport fee from the airport to the hotel was added a second time even though we already paid it on the day we arrived. so just double check your account in case there are items that should not be there to avoid double payment. The employees immediately fixed the mistakes when found so they were efficient. 2. The hotel is quite far from Khao lak centre. there is a shuttle bus available during the day, but the last bus is at 5:30. If you want to go to the night market you will have to get a TukTuk at around 400 Baht.

lovely property. Clean. lovely swimming pools and right by a nice beach. also just a few minutes walk to the elephant home. All employees were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurants in the property are amazing. Probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had. there are only one or two other restaurants nearby so selection is a bit slim if you want to try a different restaurant each time. Then you will have to make your way to Khao Lak centre which takes around 20 minutes drive each way.

one reason why we went there was the surf break but a) there was almost no waves (check the season) and b) renting the surfboards was quite expensive, just like almost everything in the resort we had a pool hills but the water was so full of chlorine that it was almost unusable.

We love the Apsara it is our second visit and will definitely not be our last. Love the quietness of the area, yes remote but suits us perfectly and there are taxis and tut tus outside hotel to take you wherever you want. Staff are beautiful and so willing to help and take care of you. Beach is beautiful and hotel is on the beach. Food is delicious and lots of it.

The only unpleasant situation was that we found a tiny piece of plastic in the lasagna. Nothing major but not nice! You need a car or hire private driver services if you wanna visit something nearby.The beach itself is very nice but very shallow. Good for kids!

Everything was better than expected. Staff is very polite and helpful. The dinners were just amazing. The options of buffet plus different beverages ( different processador of course) is really great. We were there for almost a week and each day they had something special (seafood and meat bbq, Pad Thai, Mongolian food). Breakfast was also really nice with loads of variety. Pools were amzing, Massage was great for a very affordable price. They offered entertainment in the evenings with Thai typical dances, pyrotechnic shows. Good to see a place with that standard that do not offer overpriced services/food/beverages! Excellent job! 👏

The restaurants and all activities are very pricey. The vibe of the Italian beach bar is awesome but prices are like back home.

The sea is flat and perfect for (small) children. The beach is beautiful. Main pool is nice and open till 7, that allows you to enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the pool. The pool itself needs more attention. The room is clean, big and nice. The glass front to the bathroom a bit weird. King size bed is comfortable. Cleaning staff does a good job! The elephant home is in walking distance.

This resort is nestled away on a very quiet beach. It is secluded and peaceful. Just a short bike ride away from a few other beaches. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The Thai food is done quite well for a resort, with vegetarian options available.

The music at the bar was a bit jarring at times. the location of the massage beds were not great - right behind the bar airconditioning droning and right next to a bust thoroughfare path.

Beach location. Great swimming. Nearby Memories Bar. Shuttle to nearby village. Excursion to Takua Pa Sunday Market. Efficient and friendly front of house staff, especially their manager. Varied buffet breakfast.

Excellent views and sunset very clean beach and seaside restaurant excellent Italian food and drinks. Friendly staff really get to relax and great place for surfers! Will be back for sure in 2023!!

the resort is directly located on a famous surfspot, where surf lessons can be taken. many Island and Khao Lak excursions can be booked at hotel. excellent breakfast with big choice of food. very nice located with the beach, sand bank and creek. friendly staff. I was in the meantime 4-5 times here.
