Problem with the room when we first arrived but was fixed quickly. Bathrooms do also smell slightly but not as bad as some of these reviews are making out! For a no AC room it does seem expensive and they were very very hot!! Would recommend getting a room with AC but this would have made it too expensive for us.

Pool is good and can still use when divers are in class. Rooms have a nice balcony and are a decent size. Staff were helpful when booking onward travel and transfer from the pier is helpful too. Very good location not a far walk from main restaurant/beach/shop area.

The beds and pillows were very hard. We had to check out at 6am to get our next flight to our next location but no one was on reception it was closed. so we had to leave a note with the key behind the desk for them…

Good value for money. Large varied menu to pick from. Really nice breakfast. Good location

We requested a diving course in advance several times, but never got a reply. We later learned that they don't offer diving courses anymore. We waited very long to be picked up from the pier. Laundry was expensive. The reception wasn't manned in the evening. The pool water was extremely warm and not refreshing. The fan only had 1 setting. The windows were old and not soundproof. Bright light came into the room at night though the gap below the door.

Room was clean. Location is in good walking distance to beach and food.

Only downside is there is no air con and only a fan. We knew this when we booked but the fam was really not that powerful so found it so hard to sleep on the heat.

Amazing location right in centre near Sairee Beach absolutely loved it. Room was very clean and we had our own balcony which is always a treat when budget travelling

Noisy first room before we switched

Big asterisk with this rating: there are 2 buildings, 1 is by a road with constant motorbike and muay thai gym noise and the other is not. We were originally in the noisy one and after one night of pretty disrupted sleep I asked to move which the staff accommodated straight away. The other block (which probably has 70% of the rooms) was much much better and had a nicer bathroom (shower separated from toilet area). So for the 2nd room, I thought it was great value - nice room, aircon, balcony, quiet, clean. Nice pool, probably wouldn't want to spend all day on the loungers as they're not the comfiest but fine for a while. Great location with lots of restaurants within 2 mins walk and a 5 min walk to the beach past a 7eleven. The hotel also rents snorkels, scooters, and I think it has a travel agent. Would deffo recommend the room we ended up with, but I'd be annoyed if I had to stay in the first one. Deep sleepers may not mind.

Lovely location in a cosy Street with a lot of good restaurants and a 10 min walk to the beach and the busy little streets around. The room was spacious and it was Well organized; they even picked us up from the ferry.

It would have been perfect if I had a fridge. Some of the fans are very loud, so I ended up sleeping in the small bed as there was a quiet one there.

Comfortable, clean, and nice staff. I enjoyed the nice sizeable balcony, big bed, and the pool. The staff was very helpful. It's not overly luxurious, but all I needed.

It's a bit as living on a big wooden ship. Rooms are okay but had their best time and the walls are thin so you can potentially hear your neighbors talk - not a big problem for us. The bed was okay, definitely had worse. However the rooms could use a deep clean, tad too much dust for our taste and the mosquito net was as old as queen Elizabeth (yellow and stained with the blood and corpses of ancient mosquitos)

Close to the bars and restaurants. Pool area is nice to relax when they aren't giving dive courses.

Chose a room with AC and hot shower - would recommend this! We had AC and a ceiling fan. Lovely little balcony in the room. Staff were friendly. Pool was good only 1 day that there was people using it for diving skills. Fresh bottles of water given daily. We chose to stay an extra night. Great location 10 minute walk to Sairee Beach and the little town with restaurants and shops is on the doorstep.Quite steep steps up to 1st floor, if you have any difficulty I'd recommend asking for a ground floor room.
