They could do smth. very cool out of the rooftop . The area in front of the place is very small and if it gets crowded you cant sit and chat but thats only a suggestion for improvement

a super lovely place with a nice social area inside and out the front. everyone was really welcoming and excited to get to know you! shout out to ping pong who really wanted to make sure everyone felt at home and made extra effort to come over and talk to you :) the whole family was so kind would definitely go back again if i am back in kanchanaburi!! ping pong is also doing amazing things with the locals in helping them learn english which is super cool :) my friend and i arrived super knackered so didn’t socialise straight away but it was really easy to do our own thing and not feel bad about it! the night market is literally a 30 second walk from the hostel and is full of yummy food and clothes!! they also have a small clothes donation box that you can take or leave anything you are wanting to get rid of along ur travels which is a nice touch. would recommend to anyone staying in the area!

Perfect location near the trainstation and night market. Centre of the city is further away. A 7/11 across the street. Beds and airco are good. Absolutely lovely staff: felt like family!!!

Top bunk beds were basically a foam/material sheet on a board, so being quite tall and heavy I essentially was sleeping on a plank of wood (lower bunks had a firm mattress) AC in bedroom didn’t quite reach my bed so well (by the door, furthest from the AC unit) so I got a little hot at times in the night

The hostel is in an amazing location - right next to a huge night market. It also has a large social area - the most sociable but chill hostel I’ve been to yet and people were always doing things together/playing cards etc even if they only just met. Everyone extends their stay! Mimi shared her cooking with us more than once and Pingpong (host, her daughter) was fluent English and very chatty, and there is a WhatsApp group which helped with organising outings and left items etc! Very happy to have stayed here :)

Not the fault of the hostel but I had some clothes go missing from the rooftop 😞 Would still stay at this hostel again though!

The staff and the hostel were great! I also met some amazing people at this hostel to explore Kanchanburi with which has been the highlight of my trip so far. The location of the hostel is also perfect being a couple of minutes walk away from the night market and 7-eleven.

Minimal privacy in the large shared dorm however that doesn’t bother me personally much. The mattresses are pretty thin and don’t provide much support.

Asleep hostel is in a great location in Kanchanaburi, right next to the night market giving you endless local food to try and somewhat in the middle of the rest of the city as it spreads out in both directions.

This hostel grow to 1 of my favourite hostel in Thailand. The cleanliness, the aircon rooms, the rooftop, the benches outside the entrance door, the food market just 2 minutes walk every evening, scooter rental option, Mimi's (the owner) famous rice porridge at some mornings, the surrounding sights to discover, etc, etc... This place is highly recommended! Thank you Mimi and Shishio for your hospitality once again! :)

This hostel is more like a family house and included breakfast. But if you are quite person and likely to stay on your own, better not. Good location so near the train station like 5mins walk. Staff are willing to help.

There is nothing I can criticise for a hostel with such a good value for money and its size. Could potentially have more hostel organised events but that’s not really important as the area has so many activities for a short stay.

Owner was super nice and made an effort to help everyone who was interested to get to know each other. Even played a game of pool at the local bar with her. The location was good as next to the train station, night market and atm. The hostel also attracts many different friendly travellers in my experience. It was very clean.

In terms of comfort it could be a tiny bit better (beds, etc).

Great hostel for meeting other travelers, socializing, relaxing, getting to know about the place. Very conveniently located (a few steps from the train station). Very friendly and nice staff, probably the best thing about the hostel; it has to be one of the friendliest hostels I've been to in Asin. Also very affordable. A nice accommodation in general, and basically a perfect one if what you want is to meet travel companions, hang out, etc. Very easily deserves a 8 or 9 out of 10 rating.

Beyond happy with asleep hostel. I would love to visit again as it was so memorable and would recommend to any friends hoping to visit Kanchanaburi. The staff are amazing and there at all times when in need of support, the breakfast is amazing, and the other travellers are just as respectful and kind. Thank you for such a lovely experience

However, privacy might be a concern as there are no curtains on each bed. The terms and conditions for renting a motorbike are quite strict, so make sure to read and understand them thoroughly before renting.

The location is conveniently situated right next to the night market and a train station, making it easily accessible for those traveling by train. The landlord is an excellent cook, providing delicious breakfasts, and the rooms are kept clean. They make an effort to engage travelers by organizing communal dinners. The hosts, a Belgian man and a local woman, are fluent in English, making it easy for guests to ask for information.

Beds are extremely uncomfortable and overall the place was not super clean - some others found bed bugs/other bugs in their beds which made the experience somewhat stressful.
