How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The lady at the reception was very kind, I arrived super early in the morning and she made me take a nap in the common room. There were lots of toilets and the rooms were spacious. Also a general good vibe to meet people.

Everything was amazing. The stuff was extremely nice, answered all our questions and helped us to plan the itinerary. Besides that, we met friendly people from different countries and made some trips together. Really great atmosphere and the place is clean and cosy.

Super friendly and helpful staff, good AC and clean bedrooms. They also let us check in early at no extra cost (because the room was ready) and had a great communal area (making it easy to make friends) :)

The beds were not the comfiest, but for the price you didn't mind.
We booked this hotel due to the reviews of the owner and staff and their friendliness and expertise on the local area, so when we arrived to a girl who was asleep on the sofa and couldn't speak a word of English it wasn't very hopeful. However later when we met Mimi she was lovely, she sat with us all in the evening and she even helped me book an overnight bus to Chiang Mai the next day! She helped advise us to get to local tourist destinations. There was a very good vibe at this hostel and met some lovely people.

Breakfast was a simple bread, condiments and boiled rice but I am appreciative it was included
Mimi the hostel owner was absolutely fantastic. She has a lot of I formation written down for I dependently organising trips around the area. She is also extremely generous and I was able to have some of her home cooking! It was wonderful to meet her! The hostel is clean and cozy. Each bed has a light and plug point. I was able to store my bag after check out. It is conveniently located near the night market and train station. It is on the main road of Kanchanaburi so you can easily catch a songtheaw to the River Kwai bridge or bus station.

The owner is really really nice! She cooked us breakfast and dinner (for FREE!!). The place feels like home. One of the things I'll go back for in Kanchanaburi!

This place is very nice, is very close to the train station and the night market, less than 2 minutes by walk. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. The owner Mimì is so nice. she's kind , hilarious, always positive, and sometimes she prepares some delicious food to eat together . I will come back.

The dorms are small and the beds are very hard but for that price you can't complain much :)
The location is great, very close to the train station, 20mn walk from the Skywalk and 30mn walk to the bridge. Shops and restaurants nearby, night market next door. The staff can help you book scooters, tours, bus to Chiang Mai, bus to the waterfall and even help you with visa extension! The place is very clean and the staff lovely!

The loveliest host, super interesting to chat to and learn about Thai culture and the local way of life. Right beside the night market full of delicious street food. Clean rooms, good air con, clean bathrooms and showers

- the 2 ladies managing the hostel are amazing!! - it's right next to the night market so you can treat yourself with delicacies every night - it's a social hostel; pretty easy to meet people if you want to! - I could wash my clothes for 50 bhat - bus to Erawan is 5 min away

I stay here for two weeks, it’s awesome!! 💕 Mimi and her friend are very nice and outgoing! She really take a good care of me! Hostel is close by train station and museum 💕 They have night market call JJ market every night, and cheap. She brought me to visit local places, I really enjoy!
