Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceBed was a little bit hard but it didn't hinder our sleep at all.
Extremely good location (2 mins to two of the main ruins), and very close to both the tourist night market and the local food one. Cute bungalows with ample space.

AustraliaNothing.
It was in a very good location, across the road from two of the main ruins and not far from the others. Our cabin was lovely and spacious, very clean with everything we needed for 2 nights. The owners were gorgeous, very friendly and the simple breakfast each morning just what we needed to start each day.

BelgiumWhile the home stay does hire out bikes, these are definitely not in the best of conditions, therefore it is better to rent them elsewhere in town even though they may charge you more.
The location is perfect. The Home Stay is right opposite one of the main temples and very close to most of the main sights. The ladies that run it are very kind, patient and forthcoming, plus they know English well enough that the communication with them was smooth generally speaking. Last but not least, their laundry service is both very cheap and super-quick.

United Arab EmiratesWe have a few issues with the property. The first and biggest issue was the hardness of the bed. I didn’t get a good night sleep either night because the bed was so hard that it made my hips sore. there is also a light on the porch which is controlled by the owners. This light was on all night and very bright. I probably could’ve asked them to turn it off, but I didn’t feel very comfortable without having a light in front of the door either. Another reason I didn’t get a good nights sleep is that the bungalows are just across the street and less than a block from a lively nightclub. Usually, I am not a light sleeper and outside noises do not bother me. I read other reviews that other people wrote, explaining the problem with the nightclub and brushed it off thinking that type of thing doesn’t usually bother me. Unfortunately , it is so close and so loud that it does. Not only was the music from the nightclub vibrating the bungalow there were multiple people leaving the bar, most likely Intoxicated, screaming, as they left. One girl went on for nearly 15 minutes. Of course the owners cannot control this at all but it is a reality that made sleeping really hard. Finally, when we arrived, it was around 3 PM in the afternoon. It was almost 100°F outside and felt like 105. My husband and I had been walking around temples all day in the hot sun by the time we arrived at our accommodation, we needed air conditioning badly. The air-conditioning in the bungalow had not been turned on prior to our arrival, and therefore the inside of the bungalow was a sauna. It took nearly 3 hours for the bungalow to cool off enough that I was no longer sweating. Perhaps had the owners had turned the air conditioner on Before our arrival to ensure the bungalow was cool when we got there this wouldn’t have been as big of an issue because the air conditioner worked fine for the remainder of the trip.
The homestay was an excellent location located just across from the weekend night market and one of the temples. Also, there is a fantastic massage parlor and coffee shop within short walking distance. We also really liked how clean the bungalow was. It was clear someone takes care of the place and the rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They arranged a Tuk Tuk for us and our luggage to get to the bus depot, which was very cheap and necessary. Even though the bungalows are in the main area of town with short walks to attractions restaurants and activities the bungalows felt secluded. The greenery and the design made it feel quaint and authentic. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay. It was a great value and great location with kind people. The bungalow was private and charming. The bathroom was spacious and it had a great size refrigerator. The fruit and coffee on the front porch every morning added a nice touch. Free cold water in the fridge was also a blessing. I would definitely recommend this place to some of my younger friends.

South KoreaThere’s no warm water from the heater. As it’s hot,we didn’t ask why. So it could because we didn’t use it in the right way. Also there are some ants inside as it’s a wooden bungalow. It didn’t affect our stay.
We are so lucky to stay at this home stay as it was really super close to Temple Mahhata and there is also a weekend night market just near by the river. It opens on Fri Sat and Sun. The owners are two grannies. They are so kind and helpful. The breakfast was also made by them, 100bht for one set with big portion. The bungalow has enough spacious for 3 of us as a family. The mattress is very comfortable for us. They also have motorcycle to rent 300bht for 24 hours.
