Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

FinlandWe stayed at Baan Ploy Sea for two nights, in a jungle view room. The room was spacious and very clean, and very quiet through the night. Probably a better choice than the sea view rooms, which are right next to the little pool where kids start to play early in the morning. The restaurant is great, clearly one of the best on the island, and breakfast was delicious. Staff is very helpful. The beachfront is clean, and that part of the bay isn't too busy with boats. You can rent a paddle board or kayaks. An extra bonus is the incredibly smooth logistics from mainland to the island and back. If I ever return to Koh Samed, I know where to stay.

AustraliaYou couldn’t swim in the ocean because of crown of thorn urchins. The tables at the restaurant were difficult to use. They would have been a real problem for older people. Low tables with a recess under them to put your legs and feet.

SingaporeIf you go there with kids do not hesitate to take some water shoes to avoid injuries to the feet due to shape stones or sharpe dead corals.
Really super great place. Very quiet place. Super good location. Two types of rooms: those exposed to the sea and those on the garden. The second ones are so big, peaceful. The hotel has a café hidden in the jungle with a very modern design. Once again the place is wonderful for grabbing a coffee while looking on its emails or just reading. And what about the restaurant of the hotel? Just one of the most excellent of the island. Really. breakfast is good. We really enjoyed the place.

JapanReception staff need more training. When there was a lady from the Samet resorts there it was ok but if just the Baan Ploy staff they really struggled with basic questions. We also asked if they accepted American Express and they said yes. We then asked 'are you sure' and they said yes. When we handed over the card they then said 'no American Express' kind of comedic but also frustrating. Breakfast was average at best. No fresh juices, awful coffee and service was chaotic. We cancelled the order on second day and left as they forgot to process it. Unfortunately some whiff of sewage from the beach too but not sure the hotel can be blamed for that.
New rooms, very clean, easy access and very good restaurant food for lunch and dinner.

ThailandYou have to make one order for the main dish in their menu for your breakfast. I only wish that we could order one more on the menu to let us have more varieties of food to try.
All the facilities in the hotel are exceptional. Enormous and comfortable bed. Great sea view and location (11 mins walk from the place you get off the boat). Caring and helpful staff.

The position on (almost over) the beach is perfect. Better than, for example, the four star hotels on Ao Phrao. We stayed over Christmas and were delighted there was not any bogus Christmas bonhommie.
