Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The place is absolutely beautiful! Starting the day with a delicious breakfast by the pool was awesome. You can choose different options for breakfast too. Mei was so lovely and helpful with everything. Thank you again! We enjoyed our stay a lot and can totally recommend it!

NetherlandsThis place is a paradise! Mei and the other staf are so helpful. The breakfast choices and quality is amazing. Everything beyond all our expectations. Also don't take the warnings about the traffic from the road to seriously. Yes you can hear the road in the queen villa, but in Chiang mai and almost everywhere in Thailand there is a road somewhere. It is not loud and not in the evening and at night. So if your looking for great rooms/bungalows in a magical garden to unwind and enjoy the sun during the day our take a taxi and explore Chiang mai and everything the area has to offer, stop your search and book this place! Chiang mai centre is a 30 min drive so perfect to both relax and have the options of going out.

United KingdomWiFi. Instead of having 4-5 separate ones you should set it up as 1 network with repeaters and ensure good coverage across the place. I struggled with work calls. Also my bathroom was a bit cramped but ok.
Very friendly staff (thanks Muai!), peaceful beautiful environment, nice food, comfortable room.

SpainWe liked everything, the only thing is that there are many mosquitos in the area, so make sure to take mosquito repellent.
Feels like home it’s very cosy and the hotel is beautiful in nature, surrounded by green and a pond. The staff are super kind and supportive. There is a pool. Rooms are very clean. The hotel is located next to two amazing restaurants. It’s a bit outside of the center but we wanted to be away from the tourists. It was perfect.

LatviaHotel is located a bit farther from the city center, but the quiet and serene surroundings more than compensate for the distance. The location might be a consideration for those without their own transportation, but for us, having a motorbike made it a non-issue. In fact, it added to the adventure of exploring the area at our own pace.
Stay at Baansuwanburi felt like I had stepped into a movie scene. The surroundings and architecture were beautiful, exuding an authentic charm. From the moment we arrived, the warm and friendly host made us feel right at home. Their hospitality added a personal touch to the experience. It wasn't just a hotel stay, it felt like I was visiting friends. If you're looking for a unique place that goes beyond the standard hotel experience, this place is a gem. The combination of beautiful surroundings, a friendly host, and a delicious breakfast made it a stay that felt like a dream. I'd gladly return for another stay in this beautiful place.

United KingdomLocation too far from Chiang Mai on scooter. No motorcycle rental at the hotel, you need to go into Chiang Mai or come with one.
After arrival, we checked out of hotel as location was too far from Chiang Mai for us. Hotel was beautifully appointed and family running the place are very helpful and friendly. Lovely place if you want something outside of Chiang Mai.

VietnamOutside of city, next to 2 great big and famous restaurants of Chiang Mai ( a farm to table concept restaurant and a Michelin guide Thai Traditional restaurant). Swimming pool and the gardens are the highlights of this place, bed is comfort and room was airy. You will need help from their receptionist to arrange taxi to the airport if your flight is in early morning ( almost impossible to book Grab from the hotel to airport ). Overall all experiences at the place was great for us.

United KingdomAs with all oasis, they tend to be a little out of they way . We knew when we booked this would be the case here, and yes, the location may be an issue for some, but,if you want to relax ,unwind ,chill, and refocus on life, then this is the place. You can get a taxi into Chiang Mai ,only 15 minutes away . There are 2 excellent restaurants on either side of hotel both walking distance. So in terms of what we didn't like ,there is nothing really Thankyou to Mei
This was a special little oasis. Beautifully maintained ,with exceptional welcome and service from Mei and her Mom Win. .Our room ,the king garden room, was well furnished and catered to all our needs, immaculately clean, surrounded by stunning garden ,teaming with birds, bullfrogs, and many wonderful butterflies and moths.. The gardens ,pool, and shared space present a beautifully well-kept eclectic, "homestay type" feel to this little hotel .

United KingdomNothing!
Baansuwanburi is a peaceful haven on the outskirts of Chiang Mai City that has been thoughtfully curated, from its rooms, to the gardens and the pool. Its location lends to nights of peaceful sleep among the relaxing sounds of crickets and bird song. Mei and her mother are warm, accommodating and generous hosts. We opted for the Thai breakfast option and it was delicious, cooked fresh by Mei's mother each day. They even provided a take away breakfast for a day where we had an early tour start. We-La-Dee is a restaurant a few minutes down the road with some of the best food we had in Thailand. We ate here two nights out of our 3 night stay! Baansuwanburi is on the outskirts of the city. We took taxis into town which were usually less than €5 and easy to come by. The drive is about 20 mins. We would love to come back here and would highly recommend to anybody visiting Chaing Mai as a place to stay!

United KingdomI wouldn’t say I didn’t like it, because it was aware of it when booking, but the hotel is located about 25mins drive from Chiangmai city centre. Just something to bear in mind! But it is well compensated by the fact that it is such a special place to stay and also feels like the air there is cleaner compared to Central Chiangmai and it’s environs, which were very polluted.
I absolutely loved my stay here. Nearly everything about the hotel is perfect - the lush garden, the comfortable and cosy room, the stylish and well-equipped bathroom, the amazing setting, and most importantly - the wonderful Mei and her mom who are so kind, friendly, caring and attentive. It was truly a special experience. It was also great value for money - a boutique hotel experience for the price of a homestay.

VietnamVery good location for those who don't want to be inside the city. The house is gorgeous with a beautiful and very well-maintained garden. The owner family has very good taste with art and decoration. Except for occastional noise from cars passing by, the place is mostly quite and calm. Mai was exceptionally helpful. Not only she consulted us on the types of room but also offer us to choose another one if the one we booked didn't fit our needs. It was our first time in Chiang Mai, and Mai was extremely helpful and nice. She gave us all the recommendations that we need. My kids had a blast with the pool and the jacuzzi. We will definitely come back.
