Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was amazing.
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed like family. All of the staff without exception go above and beyond to make your stay a comfortable one. In 5 years of full time travel, it is the first time we ever experienced such wonderful hospitality. Rooms were clean and spacious, the pool was fantastic but for me, the best thing was the breakfast and complimentary juices, waters, cereals, fab coffees and even ice creams on warm days. BED is doing something that other hotel chains simply are not - its fantastic and would LOVE to see them expand to other locations and countries as I would quite literally stay every time with them. If we return to the area, id move in immediately.

Malaysianothing, this hotel is excellent.
We took the early morning flight from KUL to Chiang Mai. When we arrived hotel, it's like 9.30 am and the staff helped us to check in despite it's still not check in hour. Then, we were offered with breakfast at no extra cost. The staff and management team were so friendly, they would come to greet everyone who is having their breakfast at the lobby and tell everyone to eat more. They would also share some travel info wen you ask.

GermanyWe felt comfortable all around! The rooms were very well equipped and not too small. The beds were very comfortable and thanks to night rest and backyard location the nights were very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent and staff is very friendly and helpful with questions or organizing trips. In general, the location is very good, as everything in the old town is within easy walking distance, as well as the night market at Chiangmai Gate and Saturday Walking Street.

South KoreaThere’s a few minor things I think could be added to the room (e.g. a better hairdryer, more complementary toiletries, more storage space), but nothing that ruined my stay!
We loved our stay at BED! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. They even got me a cake on my birthday without my family arranging it. The room was minimalist but comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great - lots of options (Thai, western, hot and cold, fresh fruit) and there was unlimited free coffee/tea, water and snacks at any time. The location was really convenient, just outside the old city. There was very little noise at day or night. The pool was quite cold but good for a quick swim and nice to relax next to.

GermanyRooms large and trendy, but, for purely practical reasons, furnishing is just a touch too austere. One more chair and one more shelf or desk (to put things on) would have been helpful.
Very nice place with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast.

AustraliaThe rooms facing the front of the property can get a little noisy as people wait for their taxis. It would be better if the ashtray is removed from the area to stop people from hanging out at the front while smoking. The wonderful staff moved us to the opposite side of the hotel which was a lot quieter. Thank you!
The breakfast was so-so, but it had plenty of fruit throughout the day which was lovely. There weren't any facilities for coffee or tea making in the room (which seems to be common in Thailand)so each time we had to go to the dining room but there were endless supplies of fruit, which was a bonus! Loved the service, the receptionists were the highlight of our stay, so friendly and helpful, thank you!

The staff were great, extremely helpful & friendly. You can help yourself all day to tea, coffee, snacks. Very close to Chiang Mai gate where there is a nightly market, a great place to get a very reasonably priced food & drink.
