Nothing the hotel can do, but there was a festival and they were loud near the beach. We could hear them playing until midnight. The earplugs worked.

Location was great, breakfast excellent, even with vegan options. This is our fourth time at Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort and praises go to all the staff, especially Ms Tan, the Manager. We felt welcome and looked after. The room service is great and they are very quick in delivering food to 5th floor. The choice of food is not big, but there are options for everyone.

I laughed before going to this hotel at all the comments re the steps as it is a hotel in a hill, what did people expect! But seriously, there are A LOT of steps which are unavoidable. After twisting an ankle this became a bit more challenging to get around the hotel! Breakfast bang average. Weird smell in bathroom of sewage.

Lovely huge room with great views. Three pools means you can pick the quietest one if you wish. Helpful and friendly staff. Shower was powerful.

- Restaurant (also the breakfast buffet) was quite expensive, but food very basic. Better & cheaper food elsewhere in the area. - A lot of stairs. I didn't mind, but not suited for people with mobility issues.

- Great location near the beach and shops & restaurants. Bus stop also near. - Room was very clean, bed comfortable. - Complementary water bottles and coffee machine in the lobby. - Kind and helpfull staff.

We were a little disappointed with the menu for lunch and dinner which had changed since our last visit. We felt it needed a few more options. The decor of the room is just right for breakfast, but felt it needed dimmer lighting for dinner as it was very bright and did not look inviting.

Location is excellent with beach and restaurants within easy walking distance. Our room had recently been refurbished and had everything that was required for our stay. A bonus was the big terrace with outdoor furniture and a lovely view of the lagoon and tropical garden. The pools are excellent and are sparkling clean along with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The staff at the pool bar are friendly and efficient. Pool towels are managed by a card system which works well. All the staff are welcoming and greet you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. This is our third time staying at this hotel and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others. This is our happy place and we have already booked to come again.

The beach is a 10 min walk away, though there are many beach front resorts/hotels a kilometer down the road

Excellent service and good break fast. The reception staff also were very well informed about any local help that is required. The room was spacious and could accommodate 4 of us. The bathroom was large enough and there was a huge area in front of the room. There was even a Seven11 very close to the hotel.

We loved our 5 day stay here and will be booking this hotel again if we go back to Karon beach, everything was perfect, they gave you free coffee or tea in reception all day everyday.

The behavior of the reception staff. They sometimes smile, but they are like the whole hotel, so impersonal.

Its a bit old but well-maintained hotel complex in a large area. Several kind of rooms, more pools, nice garden with full of palm trees. The whole hotel area is very clean. The room is very well equipped, what you need. The breakfast is mostly Thai warm food. Its like than a lunch or dinner....5 minutes from the wonderful beach. Mineral water, coffee-tee daily provided.

The toilet can be renewed. Was a bit old. Many stairs to get in my room The were renovating the hotel which created lots of noise Lots of traffic noise.

The one thing that may be a drawback for some people is the stairs that you have to use to get to the room. it may be too tiring and strenuous for some people, especially in the heat.

What i loved about the hotel was that it was modern, bright and full of greenery. The staff was all very pleasant and always will make you feel welcomed. There's help everywhere whenever you need it. The location was a few minutes walk away from the beach, restaurants and most importantly 7/11!!! Additionally, the views from the room and balcony was really nice. we got alot of sunlight and also lovely view of the mountain behind the hotel.
