The rooms are amazing with lovely views down the valley. Nice big veranda with comfortable chairs to watch the sun set.

The property is only 3 years old, but it’s not in the best shape. Everything felt worn and old. The grout needing redoing everywhere, the bathroom didn’t drain in the right direction causing water to pool. The shower curtains were pretty bad, brown at the bottom. Wooden steps that had rotted away. The walls looked like they were experiencing some damp and the pipe to the air-con in the ceiling had been leaking. The glass was dirty and it just needed a really deep clean and a bit of love. I’m not sure if the weather is quite extreme up there as even the door card system was weathered. No safety deposit box either. Because you feel like everything should be clean and new and it’s not, it feels off. There is an empty bar by the side of the pool that looked like it was once open but no more. No sun loungers around the pool either which it could have benefitted from. We did have 4 separate visits to deliver our dinner as they kept missing things, cutlery, drinks etc. you WhatsApp them your order. The food and staff were so lovely though. The system just didn’t work very well. And the menu needs an update as it was very large, but they didn’t seem to have a lot of the items on there. They have price lists in the room that if you break anything you have to pay to replace it, but it goes to the extreme of things like the air con. It feels very unwelcoming and you almost don’t want to touch anything for fear of a fine!

The view is incredible and the staff were exceptionally lovely. Upon arrival we were given coffee drinks and we were taken to our room in a golf buggy, which was a lovely welcome and made it easier with our bags. The room is very large and spacious with good air con and a stocked mini fridge with a range of snacks and drinks. Which is useful as you’re up high away from any shops or restaurants. They also provide room service which we used for our dinner. We stayed here for one night as we were heading to Ratchaprapha Pier in the morning to stay on the lake and it is 5mins up the road. They had these cute little pancakes at breakfast filled with custard with a cat stamp on them. We had a nice dinner that was delivered to our room too.

The safety in the balcony area should be improved. The handrails are abou 30cm tall. If it wasn't for this I'd give it a 10 out of 10 :)

This little gorgepus hotel is super calm and quiet, just right for someone who wants to chill. The room is pretty and has amazing , breathtaking view. The staff is really nice too. Only thing is, be a bit careful on the balcony. Overall, it's a fantastic spot to relax. I would highly recommend this place !

The abandoned bar next to the pool would've been nice to see active. The restaurant can deliver room service. I think the resort comes more to life withput this option, and only the restaurant at the pool.

Most comfortable bed in our trip in Thailand. Sad we could only stay for 1 night. The view was stunning. With a bathtub in the bedroom and a separate room for a shower. The infinity pool next to the restaurant is nice. It's quiet. It's a nice place to rest. Although the price seems high, from what I've seen at other places we've stayed, I think it's a pretty good deal. The next day we've seen the floating hotels on the lake, that go for the same price. We were so glad we stayed at Caligo!

Tub water temperature didn’t adjust from hot so I couldn’t take a bath. might’ve been user error so instructions nearby the tub would be helpful.

Hammock, views and breakfast by pool. staff was great too and took us to the dam in time for our boat. Staff also called us when they learn of our late check in to accommodate our dinner being ready in our room after the kitchen closed. we really appreciated that extra care as we didn’t expect it.

This has the potential to be a very special place. Breakfast options were very limited and the food was cold if you weren’t there when it opened at 8am. Some areas were a little tired, could do with a small face lift to take it to the next level. Dinner in the restaurant was awkward, needed some sort of music to soften the mood.

It's not something I didn't like, it is something should be considered. Nothing much around the hotel for the ones who search for exploring the area, you will find your self spending all the time at the hotel in front of the beautiful view only

The restaurant can do better:) The food was good but you're sitting in this weird characterless hall. Seems like we were the only ones using it as they also serve food to the rooms and that's probably much better. The coffee machine is still out of service as it was in a review from a while back, so very basic instant coffee:)

The view is amazing, the staff is super nice and the rooms are clean, comfy, and spacious. The balconies look into lush green nature as far as the eye can see. You have complete privacy in the room.

Nothing. We were very satisfied.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Chai was so helpful. He spoke good English as well as just going above and beyond to make our stay incredible. The entire staff, the room/villa, the property, views, the food were all lovely. The location as far as proximity to the pier was very close. The property has a van and someone shuttled us there. They serve shabu shabu dinner which we had sitting out by the pool looking out at just a majestic view.

Amazing view from the pool area and bungalows. The bungalows are beautiful and very generously equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful, although their English is very limited. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Caligo Resort!

For the same price I won't stay there again. The view was beautiful, except that there was a large tree in our way that blocked part of our view. The breakfast was extensive enough, but the cutlery and plates smelled very musty, which made you lose your appetite. During check out you have to ask everything because the receipts are in Thai. For example, there was a bubble bath bomb that we had not used and if you don't ask for it, you just pay for extra things. All in All I thought it was very pricey for the experience.

It’s such a pity that this hotel has so much unused potential. It feels like someone ambitious designed it and now it is run very poorly. Most of the details are off. The picture on the wall is in a bent frame, there was some hair in the bathroom, there was some (what I assume) Gekko leftovers on the couch, there are spider webs in the corners and the breakfast is very sad. As others mentioned their “restaurant” is a dead silent room where the only thing you can hear is the slightly squeaking shades on the windows. Only instant coffee and some pastries that were simply inedible. Really such a pity as the place could be a really exceptional hotel with a bit more maintenance and love for details.

The breakfast was poor. The dinner service, the communication were difficult. The information flow has got gaps and miscommunications. Failed many times. To use Whats App to speak with reception at evening time was weird. We felt that 1 night was highly overprized because of the low service level. We had even issue with the taxi driver who moved us out at the end. Called by the Hotel.

The view is amazing and unique. Once in a lifetime experience to wake up and take a bath with that view. The room is clean and well equipped. But unfortunately that is all. Staff were friendly. We can recommend it to try because of the view, but don't expect to much more.

Nothing really, just that there is nothing really around the hotel, but for us that wasn’t a big deal, and we just had food at the hotel. Also breakfast could have had a bigger variety, but yet again there were some options to choose from.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, and the views are breathtaking - you can literally just sit there though-out the day and take it all in. Other than this, the staff was very helpful and sweet, we have also booked a full day lake tour through the hotel and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The rooms were clean, and had everything you could possibly need.
