From time to time the taxi boats which were parked in front of the resport were really loud so you had to stop the conversation as you could not understand each other.

We had a really great time here. You are greeted with some refreshing drinks at the reception and are then escorted to your bungalow which is very cosy and clean! Be aware there is no air conditioning, but we knew this so this was no suprise. Plenty of drinking water was provided in the room and the bed was very comfortable with a mosquite net. Customer service was excellent throughout the stay and the food was amazing. Additionally you can see an amazing sunrise right in front of the resort.

It would have been more comfortable with a fridge/kettle and aircon- although I knew these were not provided at the time of booking

The location was great - not too loud and plenty of shady areas. The sunrise from here was magnificent. Relaxing vibe and a great place to watch the world go by. Lots of fish to see.

A bit slow service

Amazing location, beautiful resort with style and great vibe . Not a luxury one but a lovely comfortable place with charm and character . Good accommodation built in wood ( Thai style huts), clean and no geckos inside nor on the terrace roof ! Clean mosquito net. Nice terraces with hammock, wooden chairs and coffe table . The common spaces are well designed stylish and organised ( coffee library, bar, restaurant terrace, massage, yoga terrace) . Nice little bar just on the beach front among the beach mats. We loved every minute of our stay .

Good food & drink selection. Attentive staff provided fast & efficient service. Good location close to shops, bars and restaurants. Initially concerned about no air con in room but the ceiling fans worked great so no problem.

Struggled to sit on the deck due to mossies

Location was fab and staff brillant but struggled without a standing fan. Square mossie nets fantastic & loved the downstairs bathroom

A fridge in the room would have been good.

The staff were lovely, very helpful and kind. The eco vibe was appreciated, and I loved the tribal blankets. The location is superb.

Beds are rather uncomfortable, very hard and hard pillow. That’s my only pet peeve about this place … keep coming back though cuz overall love Castaway

The bungalow was quite basic, but okay. No a/c.

The location was great, on the beach with an amazing view. Food and drinks at the restaurant were very good. The staff 10/10, with a big smile every morning.

It depends what you expect. If you like kind of jungle life then you’re gonna be happy. Location is really good, 10 min walk to main road. Clean, towels have been changed everyday.

The only complaint is no air conditioning in the chalet as it was very hot and stuffy.

The beach view, the restaurant and bar and the music all combined exude an aura of calmness and dream-like aspirations for all that is beautiful in the world. The restaurant/bar at Castaway is really one of the most wonderful places to spend many hours enjoying your time.

The fans are a bit loud when you are trying to sleep and there is no option to stop them from turning around. I recommend earplugs for this place.

Very cool place on a stunning beach. The location is very good. The rooms are spacious and I loved the hammocks on the terrace. All the staff were ovely and very helpful 10/10.

We loved our stay at Castaway! Our place was tucked in the back of the facility and so peaceful. The rooms are basic but very cute! The shower was very nice and the fans upstairs were nice - it gets hot and not much air floor on the bottom. We loved the food at the restaurant, the morning yoga, massage services & dive experiences all from the resort. The facilities were well maintained and we appreciated having our rooms cleaned everyday.

there was no beach area for the resort - the restaurant has been built right down to the sea - which is lovely for dining but not good for sunbathing - also therefore no sun loungers Popular with families so not as relaxing as some places! no air con - so not for everyone

Staff varied from friendly, to not so friendly to actively unfriendly (women at reception & yoga teacher) - negatively impacted the awesome vibe of the place. For the price, the rooms could use some adjustments (better lighting on the first floor, screen door on the balcony, added window to allow for cross winds, hooks to hang wet bathers on the porch). To be clear, the toilet isn't in a private space. Wasn't actually a big deal to us but it wasn't expected. Loud dogs and birds late at night and early in the morning made sleep a bit challenging.

Great location to view the gorgeous sunrises. Great vibe in the main space - right on the ocean, chill music, good drinks at happy hour. Amazing massage, would 100% recommend. Awesome snorkel trip (recommend renting fins from the dive shop). Castaway doesn't have a beach at high tide, but you can walk down Sunrise Beach to areas with more sand and calmer water. Pleasantly surprised that the cold water shower and no air con weren't issues for us.

Nothing really, but for us there were a bit too much families with kids. The bungalow and terrace was very dark, we could need a bit more light.

Nothing, would have stayed longer if there had been availability!

Lovely accommodation with bar and restaurant right on the beach front. Lots of activities such as sunrise meditation and yoga.
