The hosts Nanna and Brian are kind, welcoming and generous people. Our first night there Nanna cooked us an amazing meal for free to welcome us to her home. The guest house we stayed in was clean, comfortable, well appointed and the Japanese theme was beautiful. The garden - grounds that have a security wall and border the river are beautifully serene and calming, I enjoyed my morning coffees in this amazing setting. Nana and Brian were also extremely helpful in guiding us on places to see in this incedible city, and provided contacts to organize our itenerary and complete our holiday on Koh Lanta Island. I plan on spending future winters in Thailand and all holidays in this amazing country will include time at this beautiful guest house!

Have nothing bad to say here! Only thing I can think to mention is that the location is away from town and "the sights" by maybe 10 or so minutes tuk-tuk drive. I personally liked this tucked away aspect and initially picked this place in part because of location. There's an ornate temple right next door as well as a park just across the street with a neat monument that I enjoyed walking. Even if you are the type to always be in the midst of town center, I would still highly recommend this place--more than worth the few minutes extra drive!

Cattani's Riverside Home is truly like a home away from home. Peaceful and beautifully landscaped grounds on the river, super comfy bed, AC blows very cold, neat eclectic collection display in my room, meals were homemade and delicious, but by far the most exceptional aspect of Cattani's is the host. I especially enjoyed morning talks over coffee with Naana. Naana and Brian both treat you like a returning friend. As a solo traveler doing a month-long trip all over Thailand, Cattani's was my favorite place to stay. I would return in a heartbeat.

We loved our little villa situated in a beautiful tropical garden with birds singing and boats passing by. Very calm and familiar atmosphere. Our host Nana with her husband Brian are very warm and wellcoming people. The homemade local food was excellent. Everybody was absolutely friendly and helpful. Nana organized all our tours with tuk-tuk and romantic two people boat tour starting right at place. Thank you so much for these wonderful last days of our trip to Asia!!

Everything exceeded our expectations. Villa was very clean, with beautiful japanese style, best-quality interior. The Owner Nana was very supportive and super friendly, while still repsecting our privacy. We felt the love the owners invested to create this awesome location. It was very relaxing to spent time in the evening on the quiet terrace with view on the river. Also the garden was very impressive with various exotic plants. Once we had a flat tire on our motorbike the owner directly jumped in and called a relative, who repaired our bike in 15minutes for a very very cheap and fair price. We definitely would spent another night here, when coming back to Ayutthaya. ♥♥♥♥♥

Honestly it was a wonderful and memorable stay. One small comment is that it was a bit unclear when the cafe was open until.

The hosts were very warm and welcoming. The grounds are gorgeous and the villa we had by the river was extremely comfortable with interesting Japanese antiques for decorations.

Nana is the best host ever (said by somebody who travels really a lot!). She is a really kind person and with her husband they make you feel very comfortable since you enter this amazing place. She is also a great cook and gave us the best thai culinary experience so far. Location is stunning: every little detail is precious and tells a story of this family’s life and passions. Would have been even better to book more than one night.

Came here for a mid-week retreat after a a stressful period at work. This was just what the doctor ordered: quiet, comfortable and peaceful- a great place to relax! The hosts are excellent- very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back!

Maybe being 15 ‘ drive from the town makes you can’t just walk to local places. But alternatively nice to be slightly away.

The owners makes this place truly unique and personal. The interior decoration is very homely . The food was delicious and we loved the local market that set up right outside the hotel on Sunday afternoon. Being by the river allowed us to have a boat cruise around the island , nice with kids that refuses to walk anywhere…

It is difficult to find something I didn't like. But if I have to say something, I would like to suggest changing the lamps in the room. From cold light to warm light. A so nice room deserves a romantic illumination rather than a lab one.

The hospitality of Nan has been fantastic. I had the feeling of being at home. The accommodation is cute, and the garden is really beautiful. The resort has direct access to the river. Nan arranged for me a great trip around Ayutthaya by boat, on my first day, and a Tuk Tuk to go visit the historical sites on my second day. I strongly raccomand this place because the owner makes the difference.

This little paradise at a 10 minutes tuk-tuk drive from the center of Ayutthaya is an exceptionally peaceful, comfortable and resourcing place. It is runned by a really nice and helpful person!

It’s not located near the city center of Ayutthaya (10-15 min drive)

The riverside house is located next to the Chao Phraya river. You see barges coming by all day. The house is very private, and the quality of of the furnishing is high end. The style is somewhat ornated, but it feels homey. Hosts are very friendly, it’s owned by a Thai/US couple. Definitely a place to come back to.

For me, there is no reason to complain about anything. Surely having a stay in a little paradise does not come for free and for some guests it might be a litte downside that there is no pool to cool down in when returning from sightseeing in Ayutthaya.

Nana and Brian made their dream come true and guests can share that for a few days. Every inch of garden and accomodation, each piece of decoration, and all home made f&b show love and care for detail. Everyone who works at Cattani's seems to enjoy being there and all have a share making the whole compound a delightful retreat from daily hussle.

The whole hotel are a dream……more than special. The Lady Owner look by herself and make a really lovely welcome. The breakfast perfect and really to much. You feel, you come home and it was our first stay there. We come back so soon as possible.

The room desperately needs an upgrade. It is simply totally outdated, not attractive and needs to be refurbished. It is not only a matter of taste, some furniture was simply worn out. The remote location delivers you to the goodwill of the 'friend/tuktuk driver', which gave us a very bad feeling. Taxis seem non-existing in Ayutthaya. While announced that there were bikes available, Nana strongly disencouraged using them. This is a 3 stars stay, at the most, paid as a 4 stars.

Delicious breakfast with a lot of fresh fruits, cakes, eggs, good coffee, etc. Beautiful garden, and very friendly staff.
