Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe beach-side exit of the hotel property is just about 100 m from the Lomprayah boat pier which is very convenient when you travel by the Lomprayah boats. Buffet breakfast was good. The swimming pool is GREAT!!! And just behind the pool is the beach.... (no road to cross...). Electro cart service within the property.

United KingdomI booked a transfer with the property from the airport in advance. It didn't show up so I had to call them. Waited on the line for ages and didn't really get an explanation. I just booked a taxi myself at the exit when it was clear no one was turning up. The booked one was just fine but 100bt more expensive. The hassle and lack of explanation was annoying tho.
Location right next to the port was exactly what i needed as this was a stop gap between a flight arriving into Samui and a ferry out to Koh Tao the next day. The ferry terminal is literally out of the back gate by the restaurant. The breakfast was a buffet, pretty standard and OK. Room was fairly dated but probably what you expect for the cost. It was a good size. Had a great massage for 300bt

LithuaniaThe hotel was full of senior people so if you're looking to meet young people - choose another one. Some of the staff was at times rude to us - for example when we asked for an umbrella to relax by the pool, they were treating us not nicely and did not want to help.. The room itself had geckos constantly going into it, was also pretty dark at night and not the cosiest.
The hotel is located in a super calm location - village, right on the beach. Keep this in mind that together with the calm comes the fact that theres not too much entertainment or shops in walking distance, with scooter would be perfect. In general, the area is very green, nice beach, clean bungalows.

United KingdomI wish they did a variety of coffee for breakfast! I would have paid for this.
It was a sweet spot with cute little bungalows, very high ceilings which made the rooms cooler. The staff were very attentive and drove you round on the gold buggies. The breakfast was great, and the location was super convenient literally right next to a pier which can easily take you to other islands.

CanadaWe booked a standard bungalow, the room itself looks exactly like the photos, but the bathroom was a bit outdated. The water pressure was not great and the shower did not get very hot, but it didn’t matter a lot. Not a lot of light in the room itself and there was only one outlet in the room. The pool closed early at 7pm which we thought was kind of early, but since we were right in the beach that didn’t matter as much.
The resort itself is awesome, the beach it’s located on is wonderful and secluded. The little road it’s on also has some fabulous restaurants and many scooter rentals as well (which you will need to get around on your own time). They do offer a free shuttle service (one way) into three different parts of koh Samui, which we did take advantage of and was useful, but unfortunate that it is not a return as well as the prices for taxis and grabs are very expensive on the island (around 600 baht one way). The air on worked great in the room and we were also right beside the maenam pier that we needed to take to get over to koh Phan Gna, which was a bonus when we checked out. The staff were lovely and very helpful. All in all the stay was very enjoyable and would stay there again for a relaxing holiday, would probably upgrade to a nicer room though.

AustraliaShower pressure is non-existent - it is a dribble at best. Beach nearby isn't that nice. Water gets deep fast, the boats make the water more rough and polluted. Wild dogs in the area (although seem harmless).
We chose this for an overnight stay to take the Lomprayah catamaran to Koh Tao in the morning. It doesn't get more convenient than this. From the hotel restaurant to the pier check-in is literally 20 metres of paved path/road. For us with rolling luggage and baby stroller, it was very easy. The hotel did also offer to use their golf carts to drive us there (I assume it would have been by road going around) which was generous of them. Rooms are basic but adequate. Hotel had setup a baby cot before we arrived. Separate towels for the shower and for beach/pool are provided. The pool is pleasant, well heated surrounded by a lovely tropical setting. Breakfast is simple but ample and reasonable quality - fresh fruit, muesli, yoghurt, eggs cooked to order, buffet hot dishes, congee, bread. We purchased fried rice chicken (160thb) and pad thai shrimp (200thb) as a takeaway lunch on the boat. Both were a large portion and tasted good, particularly the fried rice. It is a short <5min walk to nearby Thai restaurants or massage places. Hotel arranged an airport transfer with baby seat (500 thb) - they use a taxi service next door to them with a bit of markup.

BulgariaThe beds are not so comfortable, the mattress is hard for sleeping.
Stayed only for a night because it is near to the pier to Koh Phangan island but the bungalow and bathroom are spacious. Everything is clean, staff is friendly. The breakfast is nice and they offer the most delicious and light thai soup.

United KingdomWe had a standard (‘superior’ they call it) bungalow and it was a bit tired looking. The pillows were super hard. It was fine for the price but you might want to get a better room nearer the pool/beach that looked like they had been done up a bit more recently.
We were only here one night before we got the ferry to Phangan but it was a great stay. The two best things about the resort were the proximity to the ferry pier (it’s next to it!) and the pool. The walk to the gorgeous warm pool is framed by an arch of frangipani trees and is virtually on the beach as well. It really is gorgeous. The staff were all very friendly and the included buffet breakfast was vast and tasty and well worth getting. Could have easily spent another few days here as we didn’t have time to check out the small little street of bars and restaurants right outside the hotel which looked nice. If you do stay here make sure to check out Hua Kuti restaurant just down the beach. The food was out of this world and is a great setting with friendly chilled vibe. We loved it.

United KingdomRestaurant and pool/bar area is a little tired by way of outdoor tables and flooring and could do with updating.
Lovely location on a quiet beach with secluded bungalows in a garden. Great location and access to the beach. My second visit here. It is a 15 min taxi drive from the busier location of Bophut and Fishermans village but its quiet nice to come away from that hustle and bustle.

United StatesFacilities are nice but do show a little bit of wear. "Superior" bungalow is really the entry level and somewhat sparsely furnished. Beach sand is quite coarse, a bit rough on the feet, though the ocean was fine for swimming. Location is very nice for a quiet beach/pool retreat, but not very close to other highlights requiring a bit of a drive.
Great beachfront property with pool right off the beach. Most of the bungalows are not ocean-facing but a short walk down the path to the pool area and beach. Lots of beach chairs and room to spread out, free pool/beach towels provided, and a poolside bar/restaurant. Very family friendly, kids playing on the lawn and in the pool, definitely not a party hotspot. Hotel is in a quieter cluster off the main road, with several restaurants and cafes nearby to give other dining options. You definitely want to rent a scooter (several options there within a couple minutes walk) or arrange other transportation for getting around the island.
