The owner doesn't usually have the A/C on in the dorms between 8am-6pm. Only a problem if you're stay a long time and prefer to stay in the room occasionally.

Bed and room was comfortable. The bed had privacy curtains, private like, electrical point, one locker and an extra drawer. The locker was big enough to fit a medium sized backpack. The reception and kitchen areas were common use and comfortable to use. The reception was more useful as it had A/C. The kitchen only had fans The room, bathroom, toilet, sink areas and the hotels areas in general were scrupulously clean The owner and his wife are friendly, welcoming and treat you like family. Breakfast included cereals, espresso machine, fruits, biscuits and the auntie will also leave treats out for guests. The homemade food is delicious and very good by hostel standards. More than varied enough to last a stay of several days. WiFi is available throughout the hotel, works well and fast. Location is just outside of the old city. Plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes and massage places within easy walking distance.

The helmets for the rented motorbikes hurt like hell! :p It`s the NORMAL fit-shape of 99% og all helmets in Thailand, and nothing special about THIS place, just a small honest negative remark it`s possible to do something about

there was not a single thing i did not like regarding my 2 weeks stay at George`s + Kim`s lovely little hostel! GENUINE serviceminded and kindhearted owners, who go way beyond in ensuring the welfare of it`s guests. In addition to having a lovley atmosphere at the Hostel, George almost became our Thai-dad, reccommending various this or that, offering + performing additional transport + hospitability for those who stay at their hostel. even took some us for a ride to show us where to find this or that, including where to find the GOOD perfume-shop, or the place they sold the cheaper versions (sorry George, none of us ended up buying eny perfume this day) :p i would reccommend to ALL staying at the Comfort Zone hostel, and i will be going back to stay there upon my next visit.

It was in a very convenient location the hosts were kind hearted people I will definitely stay here again. I live an hour away from Chiang mais and often come on the weekends and before coming I saw the exceptional reviews. Luckily when I got there it was only me and one another lady staying in the room so that was perfect.

Comfort zone Hostel is a great experience. Comfortable, quiet, and spotless and situated in a fantastic location, close to local attractions. COME HERE YOU WONT REGRET IT! It is a family owned hostel and they truly treat you like family here. They have a mixed dorm and a female Dorm with the bathroom on the same floor. I wouldn't say it is a social hostel, though you can make friends there. The location is unmatched. A 10 minute walk to the gate near where the Sunday Market is and a 10 minute walk the other way to the night bazaar market. The owner asks you how you are every morning and speaks great English. They provide basic breakfast like bread, fruit and cereal which is so kind of them for the price they are charging. If you want to extend your stay do it through the hostel he will match the rate and it will save him money. The beds are very nice with outlets and lighting in each bunk. The bunk has a storage area that has a lock and key on your fob. They also have drawers for you to put your clothes in if you want. The privacy curtain is thick and the beds are nice and has a great comforter on there too. The room AC is refreshing and the sheets are so soft with good pillows. The price is insane for the location and quality of experience. the showers and bathrooms are comfortable and have nice water pressure. You don't want to pass up this place as it's such a homy hostel with amazing owners.

- only small things but not a big deal though as I did not really hang out in the dining/breakfast floor: a) the sitting bench had no cushions or sitting pads, so it was a bit hard b) the tables at the bench were too low to comfortably hang out and eat there (the bar stools are too high for smaller people, so that was out of question for me)

- outstanding hospitality & friendliness of the 2 hosts (Kim & George) and the service women - they offered to give me a ride to the doctor, and oil + cream for free to use (as I injured myself a bit) - venue was cleaned every day, thus it was impeccable clean - quiet rooms with fans and air conditioner - spacious & comfortable bed units with a lot of storage space - walking distance to many places, e.g. food, Tapae Gate, etc. - free coffee/water, breakfast, snacks & fruits every day - hangout area in front of the hostel (I didn't really use the hangout area of the dining floor) - I was luckily enough to be there when the hostel was not so overcrowded :D Thank you, Kim & George! <3

Everything. It was definitely one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. First of all, George and Kim, the hosts, really make you feel at home. They are so nice and dedicated to provide the best experience. The location is great, just around the main gate. The rooms are very comfortable with good space to keep your stuff. The toilets are super clean. We have coffe, snacks, banana available all day. Breakfast in the morning with toasts, ham, butter, peanut butter, fruits, biscuits. And everyday they offer a homemade local snack for us to try. That’s so kind. They give you flipflops when you arrive to use in the building. Every day we spent there was a joy. Definitely recomend it to anyone going to Chiang Mai 😍

Everything was perfect!

George and his wife couldn’t have done more for us, they were helpful at every moment and checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure we were happy. They were always providing free breakfast and hot drinks which was massively appreciated. We arrived very early in the morning after an overnight bus and George kindly moved us into a female only dorm so we could check in straight away and get some sleep. The location was great and they offer bikes to rent as well. The beds were some of the comfiest we’ve stayed in our whole time travelling to the point we returned to Chang Mai just to stay there one more night!! Highly recommend and wish we could have stayed there longer! It was very quiet, not many people seemed to be there but that worked for us and it was only a short walk from the main party hostels so you don’t feel too out of it.

In the future it would be nice to see curtains or something at the end of the upper bunk beds as the personal lights are really bright. I would recommend anyone light sensitive (or uncoordinated) to request a bottom bunk instead :)

The place seems to be recently renovated and you can tell it’s been done with a lot of love. There’s a lot of thought put into the design of the room to make sure you’re comfortable and have ample space for your things. There’s also unlimited fruit (and other snacks) whenever you want which I thought was a really nice touch. The owners also make a big effort to talk with everyone and it creates a really nice atmosphere. I only stayed two nights but I already felt like part of the family. I would definitely stay here again!

A great hostel run by George and his wife Kim. Both very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They sell bus tickets to Pai and will take you to the bus station, George also helped me sort the appropriate forms for my visa extension. On top of this the hostel is always very clean and there’s kitchen space with a fridge freezer, coffee machine, breakfast/snacks and water.

Amazing place to stay in Chiang Mai. George and Kim are really nice, helpfull and really care about their customers. They help you organizing tours, vans or bus or with informations about what to do in CHiang Mai. The bed are really comfortable (not the hard thai style), there are curtains to close your bed, there ar lockers, everything is clean and new. There is a small kitchen where there are fruits and cookies, the and coffee and water available for free. I loved the place!

as someone who is picky with what hostel they stay at (and reads tons of reviews before booking) this hostel absolutely exceeded my expectations. george and his wife kim are the most incredible people. (I would come back and stay here just for them) the rooms are clean, beds are so comfortable, showers are clean, you get a locker AND an extra drawer for your stuff, and it is very close to everything in CM. the best part is that the kitchen has a ton of snacks, drinks and coffee all day. I am already planning my trip back here and cannot wait to come back just because of this hostel. thank you george for being the best host and for your incredible hospitality!!

That I for sure put on weight because of all delicious food that was included during the whole day. Fruits, sweet cookies, bread, coffee, tea, water..The fridge is open all day for the guests.

I actually stayed many more nights but this is my review. If you by any chance would find a better option than this hostel in Chiang Mai., if possible, please let me go know. No where, seriously no where, the owners and have introduced me to the the other guests to make me feel welcome. I will never forget you Kim and the George. You are so welcome to stay in my home whenever you wish. The sweet couple are so good in English and so forth so serviceminded from heart. Thank you for everything.
