The aircons don't work too well, was moved from upstairs to downstairs. No compensation as I'm sure there was a price difference.

Amazing staff, great location and very good price. Hotel is right on lovely beach. Need water shoes as small stones in water and there are better beaches on island but you’ll be at those on moped. Beach great for sunbathing and dip to cool off. Decent pool. This is close to pier only 15 min walk. Hotel clean, basic and shower could be more powerful but does the job. Great price. Firmish bed but comfy. Cheap moped rental from hotel 250 baht per bike per day.

Strange attitude at reception. The receptionist wanted cash , then after 3 days rented our room out to another couple who were staying at the resort , despite us wanting to stay on. We were offered a much less nice room . When we tried to re book to return a few days later , the receptionist told as the hotel was full. Yet when we went online we had no trouble booking a room. So we checked in , and found there was a number of empty rooms . Maybe they wanted empty rooms to to be available at exorbitant prices for the full moon party the following weekend . In the 6 days we stayed at DaKanda , we saw no one who appeared to be a manager or supervisor . Only the receptionist and her assistant . The dining area was very dirty . Rubbish piled up in a disused section . We saw rats every night as our bungalow was behind the kitchen. The restaurant waiters and kitchen staff were all from Myanmar, which now seems to be the case on the islands in the South of Thailand. They were friendly and cheerful.

The bathroom windows were not screened which the Mosquitoes took advantage of.

There are nicer beaches on the island but this one is great for short walking distance to town center and doing Bar crawl to neighboring resorts.

The beach was not clean in parts where hotels had closed, no-one seems to take responsibility.

the beach is not so nice. the main staff at the reception is often unfriendly. They also had us change the room and after saying to get a new room after one night and packing everything up they only changed after two nights and didn’t even communicate to the night staff so that we had no idea what was happening when coming back at night.

The sockets work, but you can't connect a charger because it falls out - with all sockets. The internet was always slow in the evening. Impossible to stream movies or watch series.The shower was very water saving, so you had to shower longer to get clean. A mosquito net would have been desirable for the room price.

Nice resort with very friendly staff. There is a shuttle service to the ferry every hour. You gqn rent a motorbike at the recption. The staff helps you with organizing tours around the island. The rooms are large, very clean, with a nice balcony. Kettle with coffee is available in the room, a small closet with safe and a spacious bathroom.

Loved this hotel! Beautiful location, the kindest people and a comfortable big room with nice airco. They clean well, the restaurant was also really nice and the beach so pretty.. will definitely come back!

Beach was full of seaweed. Pool was cloudy and there was no nice chairs at alll!!!! no shade... at alll! very buggy!

The air con wasn’t the best and the room did get a little stuffy. The shower was cold which was fine for us as it helped us cool down

Excellent bungalows within 1 minute of the beach. The pool area was lovely with a small bar. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with larger spaces for storing belongings. The property was well cleaned and our room was cleaned each day. We also received free transport to the port which was appreciated. The resort is within walking distance of good bars, gyms, restaurants and the Phangan food market. You could also rent a bike for a reasonable price to get around the island.

The restaurant was quite expensive for the quality. I booked a double bed but got given two singles, bed was very hard and the pillow was even harder.

This property is set in such a beautiful garden, with each bungalow set back in its own section. It looks busy but you really do feel like you’ve got your own space. The staff were really kind and helpful, as I’d just come out of hospital with Dengue fever. Not far from the ocean, an underrated beach it’s a little rocky.. but the sea is so peaceful even with the boats coming in and out of thong sala. Walking distance from the Main Street and 7/11 where there are loads of places to eat. The TV has Netflix and YouTube.

The chairs and table in the deck, so I asked if the could change it and the did, but it was the only room with those, the rest had good ones. The location of my room, just beside the walking path to the swimming pool and reception, no privacy at all.

Spacious room, big bathroom. Direct access to the beach, big swimming pool. Staff was helpful. They have free transfer to the Pier, and they arrange also transfer for Surat Thani, rent bikes also.
