Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceI am staying at Dahla Lanta Hut every time that I am coming to Koh Lanta. Coffee, bathroom, bed and hammock it’s all you need to have a great time on Lanta. The family is absolutely amazing and really helpful. You don’t hear the road and feel like you are in the forest. I love hearing the prayers of the mosque and watching the birds, monkeys and their adorable cats ! I can’t wait to come back !

EstoniaThe mosquito net above the mattress felt a little confining. Perhaps the owners can think of a way to make it wider, so that net would not hang so low on the corners of the mattress.
I love nature, which means that I absolutely adored this place. It was just so GENUINE! A completely basic hut made out of bamboo in the middle of wilderness, with paperthin walls that let every sound from the outside come through. It gives you a true Robinson-Crusoe-on-a-lonely-island experience, which was exactly what I was looking for. There were macaques running around the house and hissing at me during daytime, wild creatures jumping on the roof (birds? monkeys?) after bedtime, gecos having a party in my trash bin in the middle of the night, a bullfrog hiding in the toilet paper roll and a grasshopper chilling in the showers. Each morning, starting from 4 AM the local roosters were having a competition on who's the loudest and every time when the 5:30 AM prayer chant came from a nearby mosque, the dogs started a joint howl. This was by far the most thrilling accommodation experience that I have had in Thailand and I 100% loved it! If you're a naturefreak like me, this is the place for you. Just don't forget to bring earplugs or noice cancelling headphones, if you're a light sleeper. There's a hammock on the terrace, and an electric fan inside the room. The bed is a mattress on the floor with a mosquito net hanging over it. Note that there is no warm water in the shower, but honestly, with the constant heat, it's a blessing in disguise. Scooters are available for rent. The beach with countless restaurants and bars is about 1 km away, i.e. within a walking distance.

United KingdomNo complaints at all.
The family who own the properties made this stay as they are absolutely lovely and so helpful. It’s in a brilliant location in the middle of the island so easy to get about. Do not be put off by not having air con as the rooms have fans and this is enough to keep you cool. You are in the jungle, but you still felt safe from animals, but you do need to be mindful that you’re in the jungle and there will be the odd creature you see, but this added to our stay! Would highly recommend staying here! Thank you!

GermanyIt's quite noisy. You hear everything your neighbors do.
It's very basic but the hut is in a super nice and quite spot. The staff is super friendly! With a big surprise they brought me a hammock after my hut didn't have one and when checking in i asked if I could have another hut that had one (which wasn't possible because every hut was taken). Eventhough the huts don't have AC the nights were quite good and not too warm.

United KingdomA very minor improvement would be a way to fix the shower hose to the wall, some stronger bathroom shelves and a taller mirror! But these are very small things - I would happily stay again. :)
Quiet setting in nature, away from noisy roads but only a 5/10 min walk away from the main road with many restaurants and shops and the huge Klong Nin beach. The huts are basic yet clean & have everything you need including mosquito net, great WiFi, strong fan, terrace with seating/hammock, a fridge AND a warm shower! Very good value. The gardens are nicely landscaped providing a lovely environment with butterflies & birds. Laundry and motorbike hire available too, and you can buy food. Last but not least, the family host are so lovely and helpful. Thank you so much!

I recommand 100%. Pretty, calm, clean. The bungalow is a lovely minimalistic place : everything you need for a cosy and simple life. The bed on the floor is fantastic. The balcony with the hamac is charming, all around is green, beautiful and peacefull, but also close to the main road and near the beach. The owner is discret, kind and particularly helpfull. I was suppose to stay 1 night but I enjoyed more than 10 days.
