Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandWe had a grand pool villa; the main room was very big and beautifully decorated. The garden of the villa offers perfect privacy. The villa had everything we needed (good coffee machine, …). It was a pleasure taking a bath at night in the own pool, after you come back from a dinner in some of the many restaurants not far from the hotel.

United KingdomThe only issue was on our second day the room and villa pool were not cleaned until late afternoon. I spoke to reception about this as villa with pool occupants were likely to spend most of the day at the villa. I suggested that the villas should be cleaned early morning to allow the occupants chance to relax for the full day. This was forwarded to management as a case for concern.
The villa was excellent private and superb facilities. Breakfast was of a good standard with plenty of choice. Ate in the onsite restaurant and used room service both good quality.

United Kingdombreakfast was a bit hit a miss with the warmers being on occasionally, but usually not warm enough to keep the food from going cold, cold food was not replenished to keep up with the demand - rather disappointing for this level of hotel. sun beds were often all reserved with towels , although signs were up to say this would not be allowed, nothing seemed to be done about it resulting in us paying for sun beds on the beach most days.

AustraliaWe had a noisy air-conditioner in our bedroom. Our room was at the very back of the resort so it felt a long way to run back for anything. Tried to get a late checkout but was told it would cost a certain amount but then when asked about a little bit extra time they said there were no rooms available as fully booked yet a moment before they said if we paid we could! Not a big deal but disappointing. Also our flight was cancelled so we ended up staying an extra night and we actually preferred the deluxe balcony room over the one bedroom one even though it was smaller. Breakfast wasn't anything special, have had nicer ones in Thailand.
The location was good being close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants. Pools looked really good although we didn't swim in them, we swam at the beach.

United StatesBreakfast was good not great, a bit of a cattle call given the undersized facility versus number of guests, and foods options were arranged in ways that did not make sense. Espresso machine was disappointing. Fresh fruits were limited. Front desk was consistently off their game. For example, we scheduled a taxi at the front desk and they forgot entirely and we lost precious time waiting.
Property is large and spread out, we had a 5 minute walk to our room from the lobby, through a trashy looking garage (?) to get to our room. Neighborhood is trashy. 10 minute walk south to beach restaurants.

United KingdomLarge flat panel TV in living room and bedroom although the channels provided were very limited compared to a previous property we had stayed at which had several English speaking channels and Netflix.
Large airy living/dining area and Queen sized bed in the bedroom. Balcony with table, chairs and clothes airer/drier. Good air conditioning in both areas which was required and very welcome with outside temperatures of 32C. Bed very comfortable. Rooms serviced daily and kept spotless. Bedding and towels changed every 3 days. Large beach towels provided. Free bottled drinking water every day. Small kitchen area with fridge freezer and limited cooking facilities only a microwave and electric two burner hob but no oven, not that we needed to cook as the local street food stalls provided fantastic full meals at very cheap prices. Great choice at breakfast every day. Room service for meals and drinks available which we used and found very satisfactory. Two large lovely swimming pools both heated and with recliners with parasols. Free pedal cycles available at reception. The property is right next to a glorious sandy beach which was perfect for safe swimming.

United KingdomNot many vegetarian/vegan choices which nowadays should be a standard. More fruits and tofu could be added, these are in abundance in Thailand
Superb location next to the beach. Lovely lush grounds with many beautiful plants and trees. Breakfast was well organised, taken on a shaded terrace with plenty of variety: Thai food and European options.

United KingdomOur ‘Deluxe’ room door faced the street and there was a lot of traffic noise - earplugs required at night. Wasn’t made clear to us that one of the swimming pools wasn’t available to hotel guests - only for resort and Villa residents.
The layout of the resort and villas, the mature greenery lining all of the pathways within the complex, pool area clean and good for children, very close to the beach. very good value for money.

AustraliaWe ordered two single beds but when we were shown to our room the bed was a shared king size so we had to wait until someone came and made up the singles. There is no privacy for the shower, the door was glass and the shower was visible to anyone else in the room. Not the best when you like your privacy!

United Stateskind of a strange place, trying to be all things for all travelers and they end up being wrong for most travelers. Amateurish concierge: we ordered a taxi at 8am, they forgot then drove us to the airport to get a taxi, oh man we almost missed our cruise.
close to airport and beach and beach restaurants. Breakfast was good but food items were laid out illogically: who puts nuts and jam at the omelet station?

GermanySome might say that it is far from Phuket attractions overall, however the traffic in the north of the island is better than in the South. For us it was an advantage that it was close to a secluded beach, some might find it too secluded, without many restaurants, but there were plenty close to the beach.
The fact that it was so close to the beach which was almost secluded and also located in a national park. We had one villa, which was enough for us as if also had a small pool. The breakfast was very diversified, with a lot of options to choose from. The food in the restaurant was great, we tried both traditional Thai food as well as European food, both great options. The prices are very decent for a 5-star resort. You could also have bikes at your disposal. The communication with the reception and in room dinning was via an app. Overall very satisfied with our stay there and we would definitely come back for a longer stay.
