They don’t give much drinking water so you will have go out and buy more. There are no face cloths or hand towels. The beds are VERY hard (some people might like that though). For me it was hard to sleep on the hard beds, like sleeping on a board. You need to walk to reception if you need anything, you can’t call from your room, not a big deal but that might bother some people.

The pool was very nice with beautiful scenery behind it. The pool was also well maintained, clean and a good temperature. The AC and hot water worked well and there were cabinets to put stuff in. The blankets were comfy. There is shampoo and body wash provided.

Beds are rock hard. The staff did put extra topper on after 1st night but still very hard.

This place could be amazing with some TLC, very run down. Great location but needs alot of work. However price reflected the facilities.

Nothing. The area is beautiful, the people too

The resort was well thought out, everything accessible once on the island. The monkeys and cats roamed freely and were a highlight. The people as always were warm and kind. The breakfast was very good, ☺️ We had a brilliant stay here and would use again.. Take time out to climb to the view point, it's hairy at times, bare feet or trainers are a good call. The lagoon is a bit of a scramble to reach, not for those who can't stand heights or rock climbing. Beaches beautiful. However, the rubbish that people leave is a real shame , and made heart sink .😢

Unfortunately we had an issue with cleaning and maintenance. The staff are nice and I’m sure very hard working, so perhaps the training/procedures/budgets are not sufficient. On the first day we returned to our room to find several rodent droppings in the bathroom, it had probably got in through the window as it had a pipe from the shower unit running out through it, so was permanently open (not ideal). In the morning I dropped the key to reception for cleaning and told them of the issue and showed them photos, they seemed concerned and immediately got on the radio so I felt reassured it would be dealt with and the room thoroughly cleaned. I was specific about where the droppings were (side of the bath and under the sink) also told them that the fridge was very dirty and needed cleaning and the floor had a slight film on it (probably mopped but not changing the water often enough). When we returned later the room had been cleaned (bed was made) but the droppings were all still there and the fridge was not cleaned. I’m not sure how the droppings were missed as they were very obviously on the side of the bath (as I told them and showed them in the photos) and I would have expected that the room would be checked by management given the nature of the issue. I went back to reception and spoke to two people, I asked one of them to come to the with me room and see the droppings, he seemed concerned and called a cleaner in straight away to deal with it. I appreciated that, but I didn’t feel the cleaning was very thorough. I couldn’t smell any cleaning products in the bathroom, and the cleaner had a large towel they used to wipe things with. I asked her to clean the fridge and she just used the same towel to rub the dirt off, but didn’t use any cleaning products. I pointed to her basket to ask for her to use products, which she did with a sponge, but then wiped it with the towel again. There was no follow up from management to check if we were satisfied.

A beautiful spot 5 minute walk from the pier, lovely views of the mountains and friendly staff. Had a shop but we didn’t use it. Decent sized room.

We booked it for the view from the pool despite reading previously in reviews that it was a bit run down. The view was nice, however there was a big ugly power generator between the pool and the rock that wasn’t visible in the pictures when booking and most of the time we spent in the swimming pool there was loud cleaning motor noise so it was hard to relax. The view was still nice though and swimming pool ok. The bungalows are definitely quite run down, especially the bathroom in need of renovation- it wasn’t horrible but definitely not the standard you would expect for that price- it was clean but there were things that cannot be cleaned and need to be refurbished like old mouldy grouts, rusty pipes etc. Overall value for money not great considering there are many places to choose from in this area. I would stay again only for the pool and location.

Amazing setting just next to the big rock so the view from the swimming pool is stunning. The location is great too, a short walk from the main beach, a lot of shops and bars around, yet in a quiet location. The bungalow was clean and bedding and towels fresh, it had a kettle, hairdryer and toiletries. Great , big bed, very comfortable, good aircon. Staff in the reception very friendly and helpful. You need to pay deposit for the key. We were in one of the bungalows by the swimming pool and it was convenient and the view was amazing.

This is not an eco resort or one working to be an eco resort. They burn their trash including plastic bottle much of the day and made breathing the air, sitting on the porch unpleasant. Although they had plastic bottles and glass bottles sorted in their trash area, they were then burning plastic along with their gardening debris. There was a barge that takes the bottles to recycle them but this property doesn't appear to make an effort to take that last step. Also, they allowed their employees to keep wild bird that are endangered (Red-vented Bulbul) in cages, which were left in the hot sun. This bird is listed as "of concern" by bird association, meaning it is reduced in number in the wild. No wonder when locals trap and keep them in cages. In addition, the toilet did not flush properly for the "bigger" jobs. The shower is in the bathroom with the toilet and when you use the shower the whole floor stays wet. Creates a slipping hazard and is unpleasant to deal with.

loved the pool, used it a lot. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Porch was very nice with good view.

The bungalow needs lots of wall hooks to make better use of the ample space.

The pool was great, surprisingly cool and refreshing. Lots of options at the buffet breakfast (runs 7:30-11 AM, front desk open 6 AM to 10 PM). The bungalow was basic but clean. Nice to have a tea kettle, mugs, and a fridge. Bed was the standard very firm Southeast Asian mattress. Nice little sitting area outside each bungalow. Bungalows were in the shade by mid afternoon and there was usually a breeze, both of which helped with the heat. (AC and fans in the room also helped.) Monkeys came through a couple times in the 5 days we stayed there, which was a nice bonus.

The shower had good running hot water but the water presser was poor.

Cheap and Cheerful! Stayed 6 nights in the bungalow room facing the pool. The room is very basic but I was okay with that, the location is perfect easy to walk around all areas of Railey. The nights are quiet and you sleep well. The young male staff of more friendly, the breakfast is okay.
