Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandRestaurant closed from 7.30pm until 8.30am! No swimming pool (typical resort).
Very good resort (more basic than a hotel). On a river where you can swim, but BE CAREFUL as the water flow gets much stronger when they open the sluices from the nearby electric dam!! Beautiful location.

United KingdomThe property was wants you would expect for the price . The staff were good but felt they tried to over charge on the boat trip activities. We paid less than half by going to the lake side .
Peaceful location / simple set up the setting was nice and next the the small suspension bridge , breakfast was adequate and enjoyed the restaurant location

United KingdomVery expensive for what you get. Expensive restaurant on site too! No kettle, rooms need TLC and bathroom wasn’t clean. A horrendous breakfast!! One of the worst we have had travelling. Tours arranged through the camp arrive much earlier than you are told, this is something other guests experienced, tour operators are extremely rude when they arrive half an hour early and shout at you to be ready after banging on your door… Not impressed… A couple of minutes up the road is a hotel called The Belong Jin the Dam resort. We went there to finish off our stay. It was cheaper, clean, had excellent food and service, lovely room, private pool. It was delightful!
Beautiful location, surrounded by nature, close to main roads and shops if needed.

Czech RepublicI can’t say there was anything I disliked about the property, however, I will say that this place is in the nature so there is a chance you will see a gecko or a bug in your bathroom or bedroom. This is bother us, but I can imagine that might bother some. For us it was kind of the point and we accept that living in nature means just that.
A great place if you want to get off the grid a bit. Very low-key and relaxing.

SpainThe resort is located in the middle of nowhere. Car / motorbike is a must if you stay here. Reception workers are open to help you get a taxi tho.
Really nice open air infraestructure, with nice and relaxing views, cozy, silent. Well thought rooms, toilet and bathrooms.

ThailandThe room is older than the photo and has many bugs. The day I have been there has raining, and no one cleans the terrace that is slip and dangerous when you walk. And no room service, which means if you need to order food to eat in your room, you must pick it up by yourself
Natural/ food is delicious (dinner) nice staff

ThailandThe bed mattress was hard and only 1 pillow per person (call me soft but I prefer 2!) and I'm English so I like good coffee and tea making facilities in the room and they had none to my hungover shock
A wonderful little hotel with just a few bungalow stilts style detached rooms and a nice sized restaurant. It's always quiet because there are so few rooms. Chiewlan Camp and Resort sits riverside and down stream from Khao Sok National Park and immediately on the south bank is a sheer limestone cliff. Watch closely and the cliff is alive with a troop of monkeys going about their day. We had just finished an excellent dinner and the sun was setting and then it began to rain, hard enough that we couldn't leave the bar to get to the bungalow but not hard enough that we had to leave the bar. The sound of the rain on the roof, the flow of the wide river and the dramatic scenery which was alive with movement made for a rare moment of perfect relaxation.

ThailandRoom is small for a family of 6. Doable but small. The bunk beds are not comfortable. Bathroom is large but the water pressure is really weak and it connects to the outdoor so there were insects and geckos in the bathroom.
Rooms are quite small for a family of 6. Nice being right next to the river. The activities along the river is fun and the staffs are really friendly and accomodating.

GermanyThe place is quite far away from everything. There is no possibility to rent a motorbike, so you are kind of stucked. The price ratio performance of the restaurant is just NOT good. The staff unfortunately seems to be quite unmotivated and grumpy. There is maximum only one person speaking english. We did not felt very welcome.
The river and the surrounding was beautiful. The rooms were clean and cleaned everyday.

NamibiaThe maintenance is not great. One patron stepped into a steel nail that was sticking out from the floor in the restaurant area and cut his foot open. Some people arrived in the afternoon on the riverbed on the premises to socialise and left all their garbage, leftover food and empty bottles everywhere. The resort staff did not clean it up and it was still there by the time we checked out. There was a wasp nest in the bathroom and the dustbin was not cleaned out.
The location was really beautiful on the river. We even saw some gibbons (monkeys) that came down from the cliffs to drink water from the river. The beds were firm and the air conditioning was effective. The staff were friendly, but no one understands any English. The wifi was okay. It was close to the pier at Khao Sok National Park and a quick transfer to get there.
