Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumOn the parking of the hotel an SUV blocked our car. They couldn't find the owner of the car which is strange because they have security and you had to give your licence plate at check in . Nobody seems to care about it.
Room were clean and comfortable. Reception was poor and took a long time. For the price we paid it was a really good hotel.

SingaporeThere were a lot of stray dogs in the neighbourhood. They were not barking though, and I didn't feel threatened when I walked out to the convenience store across the street.
Check-in was smooth and the receptionist spoke basic English. The room has all the usual basic amenities: 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 bottles of shower gal, 2 bottles of shampoo, cotton buds, shower cap, 5-6 hangers, hair dryer, 2 bedroom slippers, mini fridge, kettle and 2 cups. 4 comfortable pillows and clean sheets. Perfect for my 1-night stay. The air-conditioning was strong and cooled the room fast (but you can turn up the temperature or switch to fan mode if you are afraid of the cold). WiFi in the room was stable and fast. The neighbourhood was quiet for the night I stayed and I had a good rest. There is a security guard at the entrance who is actively doing his work, checking on cars that stopped at the entrance and greeting us when we returned to the hotel past midnight (in short, I felt safe!) There was a male receptionist at the front desk at night too. There is a well stocked 7-11 just across the street. I'll be returning if I were to visit Khon Kaen again!

GermanyWhen you come off the national highway #2, your navigation system will guide you through some streets of Khon Kaen, when approaching the hotel facility, that are less than "inviting", but there was never any moment when we felt less secure. When I asked to print three pages of my boarding passes---for my domestic flight to Bangkok, and the international return flights to Frankfurt---I was paying THB 15/page for those copies, as a matter of hotel policy. It is my suggestion to the hotel staff to print those pages for their hotel guests as a matter of courtesy, unless guests are abusing that type of service, by asking for an excessive amount of copies. Many hotels of that category are providing the service without any costs. I have made a note of this very nice hotel, and will book it again when visiting Khon Kaen in the future......
Very easy check-in---although at the time of my arrival in the late afternoon---nobody was present with a decent command of the English language. Yet, after having said that I must also point out that I do not have any linguistic talent, to learn mastering the Thai language, in word and script, with adequate proficiency.....Thai is a tonal language, with non-alphabetic writings, so that English is a hard language to learn for the native Thai speaker. With German being by mother tongue, I was fortunate enough to learn English and Spanish with an adequate degree of fluency, on account of my very extensive world travels, but I would not even dare to "tackle" Thai as a foreign language, despite the fact that half of my relatives are Thai.... Since we did not want to return to a non-airconditioned room when returning to the hotel after our daily excursions to other parts of the large Khon Kaen district, we asked for a second key card, so that we could leave that card in the "power slot", to leave all electrical components switched on during our absence. Our room was comfortably furnished on the 4th floor, and I liked the fact that the hotel facility is relatively new, having been finished since only 2 years. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, which is something of a standard that one has come to expect, after traveling more than 100,000 miles through Thailand over the past 6 decades, starting out as a travel companion in the company of my parents.... The breakfast buffet is being served as of 7 AM, and it is comprised of Thai/Asian and Western food components, to reflect the international character of the hotel's guests. We always found a safe place to park our private car at the hotel's premises, and we preferrred the parking spaces at the hotel's "car park", offering protection from the extreme +30 C heat of Thailand, even in May.

ThailandNo complaints here
Love the style of this place! If you want to soak up the culture of the city at an affordable price this is the place to choose, I was almost put off booking the place due to some reviews about the breakfast not being adequate, but honestly it's one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in Thailand and I've been living here over 6 years ! 😄They literally give you a menu and you can order whatever you like, plenty of options and all very delicious, Vietnamese/ Thai style plus there is an option for American breakfast for those that want it too! Very central lovely place! Comfortable room , will stay again for sure!

ThailandHad to have desk staff come up and connect me to internet, the password on the router did not work. Also, no one offered to help us with our bags. Finally, we tried to find the hotel with our car navigation system and it put us 300 meters away. Had to call and ask for further directions. These were not clear. Your website should have a better small map of the soi showing the hotel in relation to other landmarks like 7-11

United StatesThe price is on the higher side with comparable hotels with better location being about 1/3 less cost. The three things I did not like were first, a long check-in process. I joked and asked them if I was buying a car or checking into a hotel? I stayed at the Movenpic in Khao Yai, two days before and it was nowhere near this complicated. Second, the bed design is easy to bump your head..hard. My wife and I both bumped our heads. Third, they rushed us out of the hotel before 12:00am. That made me mad. I have stated at each Khon Kaen hotel at least 2-3 times each but this was my first time here.
It is a clean and new property with beautiful rooms. The location is ok, and there are small roads of college town traffic.
