We hired bikes one afternoon which were not in the best condition with flat tires. But they did give us a discounted rate as we only had them for a few hours rather than the day. The WiFi could be a little spotty sometimes.

We had a great stay here! The room was a really good size, with a mini fridge and a safe. We had a great decking area/ balcony outside of our bungalow with seating and a place to dry clothes which had a beautiful view. The team and the bungalows were absolutely brilliant. It is a little difficult to get around without a scooter (there is a 7-11 and a few places to eat about a 30 minute walk away) but the team at the hostel drove us to the other side of the island for the day and then picked us up again for 700 baht which was much cheaper than the local taxi service. They also picked us up from, and took us back to the pier. They provided a great breakfast which consisted of fried rice, toast, fruit and coffee.

There was a weird smell in my bathroom, when I told them they came up directly, cleaned and used a lot of a air freshener, but an hour later the smell was back, seems like an issue with the water pipes. They apologized a lot. I stayed only one night, in the end was not a big issue.

Nice view, staff are so helpful and friendly they helped me a lot. You can rent a motorbike or you can use a bicycle, both options available. I enjoyed my stay.

For a littlebit we missed a pool :) and diversity at breakfast.

We loved the peace at the property and island overall. Resting place was nice quiet place, 3-10min scooter ride from bars, 7eleven and 15-20 minutes ride from Yao Yai best beaches and elephant care. We could rent scooter at the property for 250BHT/day. The stuff are really helpful and you get big breakfast everyday.

Location was a little secluded - needed transport as only 1 restaurant within walking distance - better beaches other side of island - also I had thought there was a pool as my search brought this place up but there wasn’t however many t didn’t spoil the tranquility of the place or the lovely staff who simply couldnt do enough

Fantastic staff - couldn’t do enough for you - very nice views from veranda - rooms had all required amenities. Breakfast was fabulous - lots of choice and lots of it to set you up for the day. Offered a great taxi service at good price too

The location is in the middle of the island. The staff is friendly.. pick up and drop off for free. I rented a motor bike that is a little bit over time but they didn't charge me.

The island is a little hard to explore without a bike. However, this really wasn’t a massive problem for us as yon and team were so kind and drove us to local beaches and restaurants.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Resting Place. The staff went above and beyond, and Yon, the owner made us feel so welcome and looked-after. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great too.

We wish we stayed longer! Resting place excided my expectations 🙌 They picked us up from the pier, wrote to me 1 day prior arrival to ask time of arrival to arrange our pickup. Everyone was kind, warm and with a smile on their face. Great view, enough space, and we got to rent our motorbike here. Breakfast was amazing, roti, egg, fried rice, fresh fruit and tea. Peacefull sleep at night and also 2 bottles of water every day. It's the little things that make all the difference. Hope we get to come back again 🙋‍♀️

Location is not bad if you have a scooter but not walking distance to any bars/restaurants/shops. Scooters are available to rent from the hotel.

Just make sure you can drive a moped if you visit the Island, since the restaurants are quite far apart🤞🏼

This is the best service I have recieved ever when traveling in Thailand and I have been here 6 times. The «bungalows» are very cozy and the staff are wonderful. The owner does everything to make you’re stay nice and I am so happy I chose to stay at Resting Place. If you are visiting Ko Yao Yai, this is the place to be😁

Superb views, beautiful spacious and spotlessly clean bungalow and resting is exactly what we did. The deck felt like our own slice of pardise. Breakfast was authenticly thai and filled us up for the day. Simply perfection and exactly what we needed

We loved the location. From seeing the other property on the island, we certainly found the best. The vibe, view and value for money was outstanding. The host and staff were very attentive to all of our needs. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay, even dropping over water and refreshments on our return from a day exploring

In this price range, the water pressure of the shower could be better.

Such lovely hosts. They take care of their guests excellently, spoil with enormous breakfast and give great advice about what to do or organizing tours. Nice bed, a bungalow for your own. Good price for renting scooters directly.

there was nothing negative at all - all in all an amazing experience!

We were picked up for free and taken care of. The free 3-course breakfast we have got every morning was amazing and filled us up for the whole day. The owner and the staff were absolutely friendly. The motorbike rental service was ideal - decent price, new bike and no deposit. The room was great. The view from the room was amazing.
