The only downfall was no window in the dorm, one room has a window, ours didn’t.

Perfect location, the mother and daughter couldn’t be more helpful, the hostel is constantly being cleaned and is lovely and quiet. Stayed for three nights, would definitely book again.

The common area could be more comfortable, I always find it hard to chill out with just a wooden table and chairs.

I was so impressed by fishtail hostel. On first impression I was a little underwhelmed but then I soon realised how much attention to detail the owners have applied. The beds were soo comfortable, the duvet, pillows and curtains were all chosen to help you get the best nights sleep. The bathrooms were always so clean and with not many beds it remained clean throughout my whole stay. It was a great touch having a fridge, hot and cold water, and free coffee/bananas too. Really peaceful and restful stay. Very happy with the lockers and also the service too. They answered every question I had and helped me to organise ongoing transportation for a great price, alongside this the mother (owner) took me and my friend to and from the Big Buddha for a great price. Very grateful for their hospitality.

The place is about a 5-min walk to the Karon Beach and conveniently close to the massage parlours, and the restaurants. A 30-min walk to Kata Beach, as well as Patong Beach.

Some of the guests were not very respectful in turning on the lights past 11pm in the dorm and sending loud voice messages late at night. This was not the hostels fault though.

This was the best hostel I have stayed at in Thailand. The host was SO amazing and friendly. The hostel felt cozy and clean. The beds were amazing and the air conditioning worked so well. I cannot recommend this hostel enough.

Owner (wa) was so kind & supportive. She cleaned the place everyday. Hostel is a calm place without much noises. Karon beach is just out front.

My only humble request is to regulate the hot water a little more by a couple of degrees higher. Therefore, I would give the property a rating of 9.

Nearly everything was great about this place - the views, the coffee, comfortable and clean beds, safety lockers. The owner is very friendly and polite and I would love to go back there again.

I couldn’t stay longer

A lovely hidden gem 💎 front row Karon Beach. It’s a few steps up but when you arrive you immediately feel the chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Super clean and the owner treats us with fresh water and bananas daily. No cooking or laundry but this is on the doorstep and authentic for under 100 Bhat. Lockers in the room and 4 bathrooms. Max 8 over 2 rooms. It’s wonderful in every way Ideal for travellers 30+ Highly recommend

In my opinion the bed was not comfortable, it was too hard for me. Even though the owner gave me a kind of mattress, it was still uncomfortable. The room I had, did not have window. The ventilation was also not so good. The bathrooms were often full with sand (I know is not the owners fault) but maybe there should be a hose for removing the sand before coming inside the hostel.

The location is fantastic! Just right next to the beach. The owner is also very friendly, attentive and helpful. Even though she is not there most of the time, it is possible to write her via what’s app, which I found very convenient. In the common area there is a fridge, water and bananas.

Nothing to dislike if you like staying in hostals. Think the bulb was going in my light as it was continuously flashing (only mentioning this as lightning is a catagory in the survey)

I don't use hostel accommodation so I'm not qualified to give an accurate hostel review. However the owner was lovely and very helpful. There's fruit, coffee and water provided. I had the misfortune to suffer a deep cut on my foot from a local lake, and I was provided with a first kit at the hostel to dress the wound, Very Helpful! Location is super central on the frontline. Room has highly efficient aircon.
