Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United States1. There is no reception, and even if you are sharing a room with a friend, there is only one key that can get you in the bottom door + turn on the lights in your room. The electricity key and the downstairs door key are sautered to the keychain so that you can't detach them. That means that if you have a change of plans and need to go back before your friend, you won't be able to get in. Ringing the 'help' button and calling the number posted outside might mean someone comes to open the door, or it might not. 2. The room is quite small. If you're 2 people and you have a suitcase each, there isn't really room to walk around. 3. It's too much money for what it is. For a very small room with no reception and no possibility to get 2 keys for 2 people, near CMU but not so close to the other attractions of Chiang Mai, it's too much money.
The location right near CMU and the reservoir (nice place to walk around and see some water) was great. The room was clean, the bathroom was decent, and it was a comfy place to land for a few days.

SlovakiaThe location is great. Near to the Cm university park. Lots of nature. It is a quiet place, which I like. 1 minute walking is a 7-eleven grocery store, pharmacy, and restaurant. Right behind the corner is a night market until 10pm, where you can eat well and buy clothes and accessories. The hotel is very simple, but you have all you need.

United KingdomThe stay was quite satisfactory. Check in is done via LIne which is not helpful for Tourists not familiar with Line.
This was my second room at the same property having stayed prior in room that was under par. This room was much better and everthing was functional in comparison. Air Con at this price is a bonus and location is great for Suthep and Chiang Mai Uni, Night markt and the Zoo.

The room is not so bed. It's good but should add more things and make a toilet in different zone to use. The maid is good and well at cleaning the room

South AfricaNo toilet paper or soap or hangers, luckily there is a 7-11 around the corner to buy for yourself. Everything else you need was is the room. The curtains were dusty which triggered my allergies. The rest of the room and linen was very clean.
The location is great. Across the road is the university, up the road is the mountain, zoo and temple, 7-11 around the corner, market around the corner, access to coffee shops and restaurants. Easy access to Maya Mall. It was quiet. Very good wi-fi. Good air-conditioner and hot water. Parking for my motorbike that was undercover, so it did not get caught in the rain. There was a fridge with 2 cold waters in it. The room had a TV and hairdryer.

Chinaabsolutely no service and this is not a hotel. they don't respect the rules&guests and just being rude and greedy. it is like a boss who will force you to pay the illegal money. And if you don't, you will even be threatened like a gang. But i am happy that i didn't surrender or compromise.
greedy hotel, for Thailand's sake, please be nice to the polite and lovely cleaning boy. Don't bully him. He is the only one i felt warm during these days.

Chinathere is no any reception service here and the internet staff is very rude and irresponsible. i asked the hotel to upgrade my room a week before according to my booking VIP right but the staff just ignored it without any reply. and today, when facing the problem they made, the hotel didn't admit their mistake and even wanted to cancel my room, force us out (me and my 3-year-old daughter) or charge me more money illegally. if you want to ruin your travel, you can try to live here.

SloveniaThe sheets were dirty, and the bed-frames had black marks. The room had a damp/ musty smell. There was a piece of toilet paper behind one bed that got wet during the night (maybe the air-conditioning unit was leaking)
the location is good. Rooms have a private bathroom, mini fridge, TV and hair dryer. One of the cheapest accommodation options in the area.

United KingdomThe property was noticeably short on routine maintenance. The pipe to the toilet cistern leaked and this had been obscured by turning of the fawcet, but of course, as soon as you needed to flush the toilet the leak became evident as it would have been evident to the hotel operator. The fix was simple.... it just required a a rubber O ring to seal the pipe connector but its lack meant that the bathroom was constantly wet. In addition, two of the four light bulbs in the main room were not working. The lady looking after the property seemed flustered and overworked and I suspect that this is why these routine issues are not being seen and addressed.
The Hotel is in a great location close to Chiang Mai Uni and Zoo and the Songthaew to Doi Suthep. The property offers Air Con at a fair price. Fittings and bathroom are modern and of a lodge hotel 2 star standard
