little bit far from the center (10min walking and 15min from the harbour) and there was a constant machine noise, which made it a bit difficult to sleep. The internet also fluctuates a lot and is not recommended if you need it for work, I recommend purchasing a sim card

Has potential to be a good hotel but they obviously don't care that much. Pool was dirty, not being filtered properly. Our room wasn't cleaned for all 4 nights we were there even though they told us it would be. Bed was uncomfortable. It wasn't terrible but just needs some attention and care.

The Gysy Sea View Resort is a good 15-20 minute walk from the main pier where the ferry drops you at Koh PhiPhi island. The resort is quite spread out with accommodation options either in hotel rooms or in cottages. The cottages are small with a bed, toilet, aircon and a television set. This may be a good backpacker's resting place, but certainly not recommendable for families. This doesn't, however, dampen the spirit of staying in the resort with its modest facilities and welcoming staff.

The quietness of the location and the clean pool. The breakfast was simple and freshly cooked.

On arrival, the staff did not come to meet us at the port to assist with luggage porting (an essential need due to the distance from port to hotel) - despite exchanging messages advising our arrival time to do so. At check-in after having to pay a local porter for the service that should have been included, I flagged this with staff and nothing was done in the means of service recovery, it was just shrugged off. The hotel feels like a boarding school - there are rules and threats of fines plastered everywhere. The staff walk the hotel regularly and peer into the rooms to make sure you haven’t left the air conditioning on during the day - this is really poor for a hotel proposing itself as mid-range and offering upgraded rooms. There is a 2000 THB fine for swimming before 9am?! 300 THB fine for leaving air conditioning on when you are out of the room! On departure, the luggage porter was again not ready & waiting and the general manager had to call upon a random staff member doing the gardening to assist us with our bags to the port. The rooms are clean but so tired, they need an urgent lick of paint and some investment to match the price charged compared to other hotels on the island. More mosquitoes than anywhere else we’ve stayed in Thailand due to the indoors of the hotel not being kept cool during the day.

The room was extremely clean and housekeeping refreshed towels alongside drinking water on a daily basis. Maintenance, housekeeping and breakfast staff were friendly and proactive, assisting us with a smile on their face. The pool area is really nice and the whole hotel is immaculately clean. The hotel is a nice quiet area away from the town which is booming at night.

The facilities of the bungalows could be a bit better for the price and location, a bit disappointed for the fact we didn't had a fridge wich we found really important in this kind of heat.

Hotel needs renovation. You wouldn't have to do much to make the hotel more comfortable. Nice pool area and you have ready place for pool bar, which is closed by boards, but then there is a man sitting outside with a dirty cool bag, where you can buy sodas and coconut. Breakfest area is bad. You need new tables and chairs. Breakfest (eggs) where cold when we arrived couple minutes after 7am.

Outfit of the hotel reception looked nice when we arrived. Location is good, little bit a side of all the noise, but you can still walk everywhere. Nice rooms.

Location is not beach friendly, have to walk near the main pier location site only for beach access. At night, some part of hotel trail walk is very quiet. The pool timings are not friendly (only till 8 PM), there's nothing else to do in the hotel. Overall it's not a value for money deal but good to spend a night peacefully if unable to find any other good hotels provided there are limited hotels in Phi Phi.

Quiet location and still just a short walk to all the restaurants and the beach. The staff was very helpful and professional. A/C works well and good breakfast. Some locals live nearby and it was lovely to watch the kids playing in the morning, great vibes there.

Overall cleanliness can be better, there was daily cleaning, soap and shampoo dispenser was empty upon my arrival and never re-filled.

Bathroom, shampoo and towels were awful. This is pretty expensive for what it is. Probably the worst value for money in our whole trip. Staff don't really speak English but were friendly.

Phoned hotel the day before to make sure a porter would be waiting to collect our luggage, as it was a 10 - 15 minute walk from Tonsai Pier. No porter was there. So had to pay a freelance porter 200bhat to take luggage, as there is a good chance the wheels would have came of the cases over the cobbled walkway
