Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNeeds a lot of TLC, verging on shabby, pool area exposed wires, lights with no covers, rusty area. Only four sunbeds for a hotel that must have 80 rooms. Plus only 3 tables and chairs. By just sorting pool out would be a massive improvement. Room balcony's need wood treating or painting, just a general but of TLC all around.
Great location on sea front, 2 mins from seafront weekend market and pier. 3 mins from centre markets and 5 mins from week day night market. Plus rear of hotel is the lovely old wooden houses of the original village. Pool was lovely and breakfast great choices and fantastic view over the sea. Rooms were old fashioned but clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again for a night or two.

United KingdomIt's all a bit run down, both in rooms and public areas, so the impression is it's grubby even when cleaned. No kettle, no safe, no small towel - simple things that would raise it up. Pool had very few chairs. We had a rear facing room, sad not to be overlooking the sea but not a problem. But no balcony out the back.
Staff were good, breakfast had good variety, location wonderful. There is a pool tho we didn't use it. Rooms were clean, comfortable and big enough. Cost reasonable.

MalaysiaWe booked 5 rooms and requested the front office staff for an upgrade to sea view eventhough there are plenty rooms available, but was rejected.
Near to the sea and the wind so strong and its cold. There's night market during weekend the a lot of stuffs can be found. Its pretty cheap as compare to other city.

CanadaThe pool was nice, breakfast was good, lobby was nice. Seaview from our balcony was terrific but there was no balcony furniture to sit out and enjoy the view. But the room itself was in really bad shape and somewhat in disrepair. The beds are really uncomfortable. I wouldn’t stay there again unless they renovate the rooms or there was no where else to stay and I had to be in PKK.

ThailandThe rooms were old. The bed also was hard. But for the price of the accommodation it is understandable.
The location is very good. It has a swimming pool looking out over the ocean. It is a very nice view. The swimming pool is perfectly cooling! It is close to the train station (10 min walk) and to shops. Next to the hotel are restaurants and the restaurant at the hotel was very good and cheap! For the price of the hotel it was a good hotel. The airconditioning needed some time but did work okay after it cooled the room. The hotel staff were very nice and helpfull! They even helped to ship stuff i forgot at the hotel. They took very well care of us in the hotel.

ThailandAir conditioning not so cold. No hot water. No wash cloth for taking shower. No soap for shower or washing.
Bed was clean & mattress firm. The sink faucet did not work properly. There was no hot water. The fresh fruit at breakfast was excellent. However an egg station for scrambled eggs with cheese would be perfect. Bicycle storage was really good.

ThailandRooms a bit dingy and western breakfast not great. Milano, back in the town, is excellent.
Good value older style hotel with Seaview rooms. Friendly staff. Good place to stay for a visit in Prachuap. Nest time we will stay for a few days - a friendly, relaxed little seaside town. Adjoining seafood restaurant (to the left if facing the sea) excellent and very popular with locals.

United Kingdombreakfast was poor, beds were awful. Either rock solid or too soft with the springs sticking out. The pool was not pleasant and looked like it had been stagnant for quite some time. the rooms, although clean, were very old with all the woodwork swollen, cracked and rotting. Especially the bathroom doors, they were pealing and split and rotten half the way up them. it was a shame they were not looked after as it would have been an amazing place in its time
the views from the balcony (sea view) were gorgeous, if not a little hot with the a/c units taking up a quarter of the balcony. but the boat lights flicking on at sunset and the crash of the waves was a delight. the staff were friendly and it was prime position on the coast

New ZealandSee above. Friday night is the night for the Business community to "rage" at the hotel, and the Teenagers on the waterfront. All that is local colour as far as I am Concerned.and it was well over by two.
They seemed suprised that I wasnt a couple as I had booked for two to ensure a big bed. Great view, good pool I may have been the only user. Popular with the local business community but many of its facilities were closed. The bathroom door needs replacing, and the drop off in revenue during covid is clear,.
