How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The toilets are kind of small and not a lot of spacious to have a shower
Best hostel that I’ve stayed in Phi Phi. It’s small (just 2 bedrooms) and people are very friendly. You have free tea, coffe, towels included. They even have banana for breakfast one day. Really good stay!

Not a lot of space and no big enough storage space to put bags. Bathrooms very dingy and dark. Woken up by other guests coming in from a night out. Can’t be helped by the property, just other guests lacking common decency.
Relatively sound-proof so you can actually sleep. Aircon was good. The social area outside is nice to hang out in and easy to meet people. Special mention to Nara who works there! Lovely guy. Short walk from Ibiza/ Blanco and the other lovely bars which is convenient. Do the blanco boat party!

Toilet flush was not functioning properly, there were no locks on the door so security felt like an issue but Phi Phi in general is quite safe
Comfortable beds, quiet and convenient location, beach is nearby. The staff was quite responsive and helpful.

sometimes the ac so cold hahhaha cause i didnt like cold. but its okay, nevermind.
Song, the hostelkeeper. He is so kind, friendly, and helpfull. First hour i arrived in hostel, he fix my broken hat haha And he always smile, say hello and start conversation to me. He is my friend now. He always listen my trash story hahaha thank u song or nara. Btw, overall this hostel so good and comfortable. Little bit far form pier but its so close with loh dalum beach and viepoint, and crowded center so its wort it for the price.

If you’re staying on the top bunk the bottom bunk curtain covers the ladder when they close it so hard to get up at night. Shower outdated and weak water pressure
Great location close to the beach and party but far enough enough away that it is quiet, staff were very friendly and helpful. Great to have a free water dispenser to fill up water bottles, always cleaning throughout the day so very tidy, great air con. Curtains rail around whole of bunk Allowed us to keep bags in property after check out

It was a bit stressful that the doors are unlocked - but we did not lose anything and there are lockers

Be prepared to be in a big shared dorm, the bedroom door doesn’t lock and the lockers provided are small in size only able to fit a small laptop backpack rather than a travellers one. Also make sure to bring a padlock with you as those are not provided.
The staff was very kind and welcoming! The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for people to move around the room. The free biscuits were also a great perk! The location is also convenient for young people who want to spend time by the beach and some bar hopping.

There are many beds in every room.
The location was great, staff was friendly and warm, but unfortunately there are many beds in every room. Facilities like fridge, kettle and coffee were provided every time.

There is only 2 rooms and a small social space outside the front of the property with a few chairs so it’s not the most social hostel and wasn’t one where we met anyone really. They also don’t do any evening activities.
The location of the hostel was great and the beds were clean and comfortable.

Bathrooms needed a bit of TLC. Broken shower heads etc but wasn’t a massive issue. Wasn’t the best bed if you were on top bunk as the ladder was hard to get up and down.
Small & conveniently located hostel a bit away from the loud nightlife (only few mins walk) but meant was still able to get good nights sleep. Staff were really nice and friendly. Room is actually quite big. They turn around check outs quickly so able to check in much earlier than stated which is really good and they do make an effort to keep hostel clean and without sand. For the price compared to other hostels on this island I do think it’s good value for money.

Lots of mosquitos as the door didn't fully shut so got lots of bites during the night, front door didn't lock so anyone could walk in off the street

The beds are not supper comfortable and there is no place to store soms stuff next to the bed.
Its a small but very social hostel, you get to know everyone and its a very relaxed and chill place to be. Bathrooms and beds are basic but clean. The location is perfect, its very close to the beach and center but you dont hear any music from the beach bars or clubs.

The showers didn’t have much pressure
The room was very big and the bunk beds were super comfortable. The staff were very lovely and friendly, there’s always free water, tea, coffee, and cookies available for all guests. The location is perfect.

no curtains on the top bunks would be the only thing, but once one comes available, the hostel people will gladly move you to a lower one with a curtain.
it is just far enough away from the main beach parties and bars to be able to get a night’s rest! ha coffee and tea always available, and bananas in the morning :) AC is perfect and on all day, and fans available as well! small hostel with two dorms, but easy to meet people and mingle!

The dorms are a bit cramped.
I had a pleasant stay. The host provides a lot of information about things to do. Located in a quiet area. Basically all you need for your stay on the island.
