Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaIt is a rather weird set up with the pool in the middle of the lobby. We think perhaps this hotel does not cater primarily for tourists.
The location was great and we all liked the breakfast.

AustraliaThe pool is in the main foyer and caused the room to be a bit steamy (like an indoor pool!) I didn't intend to swim so it was absolutely fine, but some people might be too shy to swim in it. Definitely not a reason to skip this hotel though!
Loved the location! The staff were really helpful and assisted us in arranging a few adhoc activities. The room and bed were also really comfortable!

AlbaniaThe staff wasnt very welcoming and the guy on the front desk during the night shift was quite arrogant. But in general they were like kids being out there with force to work. You could sense they werent doing their job with pleasure. Letting aside the fact that their english was poor and was very hard to communicate.
The location was good, in a good reach to the nearby restaurants and such

New ZealandThe WiFi was slow for Thailand. I got faster speeds on my phone. You could hear people in the hallways late sometimes but it was minimal. There wasn't much to like to be honest. It was a really great stay!
They welcomed us in. Check in was easy and fast. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were very clean and had everything that we needed. Free water everyday. Great water pressure and hot showers for as long as you wanted. The beds were soft and comfortable and had very clean sheets that smelt lovely and freshly laundered. We had the best sleep here in all the places we have stayed in Thailand. The staff helped us with our laundry when we forgot to transfer it from the washing machine to the dryer. When we went down to check on it we saw that they had done it for us. Cost THB 105 including laundry powder. Within walking distance of so many restaurants and bars. Laundry places within walking distance and the cat cafe was so much fun. Definitely go there if you love cats! My daughter loved it and the coffee and cakes are great too. Nice quiet hotel. We were on level 4 in a family room. Highly recommend it for families. Two separate rooms with two single beds in one and a double in the other. Nice big fridge for everyone to share too. They provide daily housekeeping and inside slippers for everyone. The bedside lamps are very cool. They fold out and you can turn them in the direction you want. I want some for home! The rooms always smelt good. Not musty like some hotels. Motorbike parking is right out front and plentiful.

The hotel is conveniently located within a few minutes walk of the clock tower and surrounding bars and restaurants. The housekeeping staff ensure to keep to hotel spotlessly clean and the receptionist are welcoming and helpful, in particular Al who helped me with transfers and extending my staff twice. The beds are very comfortable too.

CanadaThe most over-valued breakfast ever in Thailand!!!! omg… they charged 200B for the most mediocre Thai food ever! Just to put things in context, a pretty good but still overcharged khao soi only costs 70B across from the white temple… how they can justify 200B per person for mediocre food is ludicrous! I won’t be returning, to say the least. The staff was apathetic and the pool was disgusting when I was there. My family practically avoided the musky dormitory and only stay in their room when they really needed to.
its location! it’s near the night bazaar and pretty central.

United StatesI travel to Chiang Rai every 3 weeks and I've tried many of the hotels. This is my favorite for many reasons. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the location is excellent. I shouldn't be saying this everyone's going to want to stay there and I won't be able to get a room so easy. I highly recommend the hotel.

AustraliaWe gad such a memorable time in Chiang Rai that we didn't want to leave, and our stay and Hi Chiangrai had a big part to play in that feeling. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, and the location was perfect. Great eating options nearby as, close to markets, convenience stores etc... The indoor pool was a really cool feature, which we didn't have time to take advantage of but wish we had.

AustraliaThe hotel is furnished in gaudy Thai style. My partner wanted a pool but this is actually in full public display in the hotel’s foyer - for kids and exhibitionists only! The room was also quite small with no balcony. if you stay, ask for a room facing the street with a balcony.
Close to the bus station. A good shower and comfortable bed.
