Don was the best! He helped us with every aspect of our trip from bike rental, boat tour, and the taxi and ferry back to Phuket. We loved the breakfast and the nearby restaurant. The room was so comfortable, we did opt for the AC due to the heat.

Not really major but a blanket on the bed instead of just a sheet and a large towel would have been great.

Absolutely perfect place. Close on scooter to everything you could need. The view is obviously the best part of the stay but the room itself is perfect too. You can pay an extra $20 AUD for aircon but with two fans in the room it wasn’t needed.

The room was so cozy, and had the most breathtaking view! It was so peaceful, the breakfast taste delicious, everything was clean, beautiful nature, and Khun Don and Khun Nu and family took exceptionally good care of me! A place that you will always choose to come back to :)

There were no ACs in the rooms, only Fans, which made it a bit hot at night and the shower was kind of just a showerhead facing the toilet.

The location was incredibly beautiful, the views breathtaking. The staff were friendly and the hotel was so close to the beach and a lot of nice restaurants. The room itself was lovely and really clean.

Hillhouse was a dream come true. The staff were excellent and made our stay as fun and comfortable as possible. They often checked in with us and made accommodations to suit our plans. The location had a fantastic view, including a hammock facing the sunrise over the ocean. The room met all of our needs and the AC was well worth the extra fee. Breakfast was delicious and the scooter rentals available made getting around both easy and fun. Mr. Don was a wonderful guide and took us out on his boat to see the surrounding islands, this was the highlight of our trip!

Everything at Hillhouse was wonderful. No complaints!

I loved getting mango and sticky rice and a fresh fruit smoothie with breakfast every morning. The eggs were nice, too. The staff were so kind and helpful. Don took us out in his power boat for a little island hopping (we highly recommend getting a very early start to beat the crowds!), and we also rented scooters from him for the week. I spent a LOT of time on the porch, reading in the hammock and enjoying the sea view. So many hornbills flew past our porch, and the sounds of gibbons, birds, and frogs filled the air; it was magical! Island Yoga is right down the hill, and we enjoyed the sunrise tai-chi and a couple yoga classes. There's a great restaurant just a short walk away. The food was so delicious, we went there every night!

This is a complete gem! Stunning view, lovely wood hut with air-conditioning (you do have to pay more for it, but it is worth it!). We stayed in hut number 2 and it was wonderful! You can see the sunrise from the bed, nice shower, lovely hosts, very nice breakfast.

Everything was perfect ! Hard to find a better place to stay in... the view is incredible. There is no proximity with the other bungalows so you feel completely alone surrounded by the nature (many calaos during sunset).. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Thailand including a fresh smoothie made every morning. And the bungalows are really clean and comfortable Welcome to paradise! + of course, the family owning the place is truly lovely!

The bungalows are up the hill, so be ready to climb to reach your room (yet that’s the price to pay for the beautiful view). AC is not included in the booking.com rate, and you can purchase it for 500 baht per day, which we found quite expensive.

Loved the simplicity of this accommodation, yet comfort and incredible views!! The bungalows have everything you need, and the most incredible balcony and views over the bay and vegetation. You will love waking up with the birds sounds and to that sunrise!! Don, the owner, and his family are lovely. We also enjoyed very much the boat trip with him!

The only small minus is that you have to walk up the hill to get to your bungalow. But that was not bothering for us.

The location of Hillhouse is exceptional. The owners have created a beautiful garden with six bungalows spaced out with privacy and incredible views. This family run property has been given a lot of thought and care. Breakfasts are delicious, everyone is warmly welcomed. I wish more places were like Hillhouse. Very good value too. Highly recommend!

If you are thinking of booking Hillhouse, book, book, book! Don and his family were so welcoming and greeted us like we were family. The pictures don't do this place justice; it is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The sunrise from our balcony was amazing and by far the best view we have had on our travels (better than any of the 5* places we have stayed in.) Breakfast was delicious and always served with a smile. We did a fantastic boat day trip with Don and he found all the hidden spots for us. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

It’s hard not to fall in love with the family who run Hill House - we loved our stay. Incredibly welcoming, an excellent breakfast every day (mango and sticky rice is a must try), and the bungalows are very well kept, with amazing sunrise views of the bay. We’d love to come back here
