Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt would have been nice to swim on the river as previous guests had told us we could. We took raft trip but were told that swimming wasn’t possible.
River location was good. Restaurants and bar area both excellent. Staff were pleasant.

AustraliaMaybe needs a pool or spa at the top. The steps down and up from pools would turn some older people off swimming.
Food was great and plenty of it. Almost too much. The location near Hellfire Pass was perfect for us on Anzac Day. Friendly and helpful staff.

Sri LankaWe stayed for 2 nights, dinner and breakfast menus are exactly same, so i dont think i will not stay over two nights.
1. Staff - very good polite staff, helpful and always with a smile 2. Location - even it is away from Kanachanaburi town, this is a nice secluded hotel that is really in the Jungle right next to the river. 3. Value for money - Food and drinks including alcohol are not overpriced, very affordable. 4. Tents/Rooms - Comfortable tents with necessary facilities such as AirCon, minibar, fan, towels, good size toilet/shower 5. Very easy to get to Hellfire pass 6. Provides free of charge bicycles 7. Natural pool 8. In-house massage is THB 400 - which is the same as a normal massage in Bangkok - not overpriced.

ThailandAs you sleep in tents there is no soundproofing and the local village dogs make plenty of noise at night - this woke me up both nights which was annoying - usually I'm a sound sleeper. Be warned that Google Maps tried to take us down an inaccessible track when we were trying to drive to the tree-top zipline activity in an adjacent hotel - the reception didn't warn us about this issue despite knowing we were going to drive. The proper way is to go back through the security gate and take the main road for 3-4km.
The property is located within the "Hellfire Interpretive Centre" area and if arriving by road you must enter via the main security gate - this was a little confusing since there was no signage but the guard soon clarified how to reach the hotel. The evening meals are included as there are no restaurants in the area - the closest 7-11 is 20+ minute drive away. Our stay was enjoyable - the WiFi works well and is accessible across the property.

SingaporeThat our stay was too short!
We had an amazing stay here! The location is on a cliff overlooking the River Kwai with the dining restaurant and bar on cliff with panoramic views of the river. There is also a natural pool just where the clear water makes a little “journey” through the pool before it goes into the river. An amazing place to sit and watch the river pass! You can see the care and dedication in maintaining the beautiful camp grounds. There are touches that reminds us of the history of this place, including a small museum. Our tents are really nicely well maintained, cosy and perfectly charming and romantic. It has all the comforts we would ever need! Buffet dinner is served at an open dining area around a campfire. Food was also lovely and we ate more than we should have. Such a magical experience every night! Finally, a shoutout to all the staff who were friendly and attentive to our every need!

The Ambiance is perfect for quiet and peaceful stay. If you want to detach yourself from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok this place was highly recommended for people who are couch potatoes. The lights all over the place is amazing especially on dinner with campfire. The staff were amazing and the interactions were personalized as if you are part of the community. The massage on sunset was fantastic. The natural pool was also the standout. There were side activities that you can do but we just stayed pretty much within the place.
