What a beautiful place and run by wonderful people! This is a real gem and the island is very beautiful and peaceful too. The room exceeded our expectations and everything was very clean and comfortable. I loved the bathroom. The food in the restaurant was outstanding!

Small Eco resort managed by Swiss lady and her Thai family. Right on the beach, very detached, on the island there are 3 more resorts only. Great food and massages on the place, yoga available in the close by resort. Kilometers of free beaches.Transport to the island is part of the adventure. Very relaxing stay and highly recommended if you like to be in quiet place.

Fantastic family run bungalow resort in a tranquil, scenic and quiet location. Can walk to several beaches and viewpoint. Slept so well every night. Owners are very helpful. I really appreciated the info they shared, including in the fantastic island maps provided. Comfy hammocks too. Staff were all so welcoming and engaged with positive outlook. Took all my meals here and every dish was great. Also met some wonderful other guests. Such a pleasure staying here.

An eco resort like all of them should be. Simple huts, good food, and amazing nature. Lory was very helpful all the time, making sure we arrived there easily and checking if everything was well during the stay. She also helped us to plan our journey to the next destination. Staff also very friendly. Can’t wait to be able to return to it.

For me it’s a little slice of paradise. A real old school island resort, super chilled in an unbelievable location. Certainly not high end, rustic bungalows and restaurant, but I hope they don’t change anything for my return next year.

We were willing to help the turtle project but the girl in charge didn’t explain anything and didn’t bring us around for a tour (and even says hello). If you’re not willing to share your project just remove the sign ‘ask here’.

Great location, far away from touristic destinations, perfect getaway from the cities and crowded places. The owner was really kind and nice, great food

Lory and her team were so friendly, welcoming, and efficient. They all worked hard to ensure our stay was comfortable. We loved living with all the creatures that also inhabited our bamboo hut i.e. the frog in the bathroom and the geckos in the roof. The food was delicious as well as the cocktails 🍸 The island is stunningly beautiful and I cannot recommend Horizon Eco Resort highly enough. We hope to be back soon. Thanks Lory.

Maybe the water pressure could be improved

This idillic place is certainly the best option on the island, especially for what concerns the food. The bungalows are very confy and we just had the greatest time here.

We didn't like that we had to leave 😔 The drain in our room got a bit stuck in the third day of our stay but we think it was because the big pot near the toilet was obstructing the water passing through.

Everything! From Lori and all the staff at the resort to the gorgeous location and its peaceful beach and surroundings. The bungalows are beautifully made and they have all you need and quite spaced out one from each other. We were very happy to have reusable water bottles to refill at the restaurant. Food was delightful. You can use free kayaks to check out the mangroves and explore the little islands. We will come back if we ever travel to Thailand again.

super beautiful place for those of you who are looking for the calm & nature :) you can use kayaks and snorkels free of charge and there are some other activities offered. staff is amazing and food is also super delicious and fresh.

It depends on what level of creature comforts you need / want but the facilities and rooms are quite basic. Cold water showers with minimal pressure. There is a good mosquito net over the bed but the rooms aren’t fully closed in so be prepared for bugs & beetles in the rooms. The main drawback for us was the unpleasant stagnant smelly swamp you have to walk over (on a bridge) to get between the rooms and the restaurant & beachfront.

Excellent value for money. Beautiful beachside location. Good well priced food. As other reviews say, Lory is friendly & extremely helpful.

Sand fly's.... but to be expected when you're living on the beach, so no complaints really.

We absolutely loved everything about this place from the food and ambiance to the views and staff. Lorie and the guys will do everything to make your stay amazing. We booked a fishing trip and was trolling and bottom fishing and caught plenty of"dinner" size fish but no monsters and lost 2 big barracuda. Ask Lorie for details he's a very competent skipper with sonar and gps so has all the marks in a book. The food was outstanding recommending the whole fish fried with turmeric and garlic . All in all a 3 day turned into a 5 day and we were reluctant to leave. To conclude it's a piece of Thailand which is very unspoilt and as nature intended get there before it all changes. First class experience 10/10

Everything was beyond our expectations. Bangalos are neat and clean. The restaurant's menu selection is wide and dishes are really really delicious. There is a possibility to use kayaks and learn about the turtle conservation project Naucrates which Horizon is cooperating with. But most importantly, the hostess Lory and staff of Horizon were the ones who made our stay so memorable. Lory helped us in every way, from organising transport to arranging activities on the island. Not to mention her consant attentiveness whether we have everything we need to enjoy our stay. Thank you very much and we know for sure that Horizon Eco Resort is the place to stay in Ko Phra Thong.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Horizon Eco resort. Location is perfect for a peacefull holidays, beach is very calm for children and there we almost no other people arround. Food in the restaurant was superb.

The bungalows are run down . The cold showers were a bit too cold at the time of the year we stayed .(late November) . We really needed slightly warmer bed covering . If the weather is cool would recommend something extra to throw over the bed at night. Allow for a reasonably high cost to eat as all the food is brought over by boat and has to be stored on ice I suspect.

The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful as is the owner.The location is magic when we were there the weather was transitioning so was still a bit stormy. But the water was a great temperature .
