Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI would recommend your own transport as it's a little off the beaten track. If you are at all nervous about dogs this might not be a good choice for you. They are all friendly though.
Beautiful teak bungalows, cosy and very comfortable. Good a/c, lovely bed, spacious bathroom and your own veranda. Hosts were always on hand, generous with their time and attention and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was lovely and all cooked to personal order.

DenmarkNear the ocean, at the foot of a mountain, surrounded by jungle and a coconut plantation, the two hosts Mook and Rick have set up a resort and dog shelter which ticked all the boxes for me. The place is lush and tranquil, and the dogs are well cared for and living their best lives. My bungalow was spacious and spotless with a modern A/C and a refrigerator with cold water. The food is as authentic as can be, cooked up by Thai native Mook, while you chat and enjoy a cold drink at the bar. I cannot overstate how great these dishes were. Fresh, varied and unbelievably tasty. The hosts themselves made every effort to engage and make my stay comfortable. They're friendly and funny, with strange and interesting stories to tell. Rick caught me driving off with a flat tire. Not only did he change the tire to a spare but arranged for the flat one to be fixed at the local mechanic the same day. Thanks buddy. If you are a dog person, this is where you go. If you are not, I'd recommend alternatives. I stayed 3 nights as a solo traveler, looking for a peaceful place to read my books. I found what I was looking for and much more.

ThailandA sprawling lawn with views of the mountain. Who wouldn’t want to wake up to that. Rick and Moo were excellent hosts, and Moo a fabulous cook. Its amazing what she whips up in that pit with so much ease. My son Charlie had the most amazing time hanging with their extended family - 19 dogs counting - and was particularly sad to leave Chubby! Rick was super charming with Charlie and regaled him with stories of the dogs that kept him much entertained.

GermanyMok & Rick are exceptionally welcoming hosts! The food was amazing and I really enjoyed chatting about music over a couple of drinks late into the night. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax or start you’re day trip from, this is it. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll probably have a hard time leaving (currently counting 19 furry friends on the grounds).

United KingdomWhat an amazing location! We didn't have a car but the owner was happy to supply transport to local caves within the National Park. We stayed 4 nights and ate in their on site restaurant every night as the authentic and varied menu was perfect. The nearby beach is accessible down a quiet country track and it's possible to walk for miles in the sand at Dolphin Bay with a few quiet bars. You must try Mok's Thai breakfast - it is to die for! We tried many others during our trip to Thailand and this was the best by absolutely miles!!!

SwitzerlandMok and Rick are wonderful, they know how to make guests feel welcome, and they make delicious meals and drinks (we loved their soups, pork larb and fruity cocktails). They showed us around and provided us with valuable tips for our visit to the national park. We had a wonderful stay here, and thus stayed there one night longer. The bungalow is very well built and spacious, it even had a nice swing chair to enjoy the view. Last but not least, we enjoyed the company and charm of their rescued dogs.

This place is such a star in the middle of the natural area next to the national park, surrounded by mountains, near to the beach, close to all the highlights of the national park. Absolutely incredible location. Hosts are so great, your stay will be truly like being at home. I highly recommend this place.

Australia. Great hosts and great location Owners Mook & Rick are great host's. We brought our old dog with us and they were great looking after him while we went out. Location is set amongst nature but rooms have a/c , good hot water, clean and comfortable. Location is easy distance from all attractions in the area. Highly recommend for people who want something a little different from a boring hotel room but still want comfortable rooms.

NetherlandsSecond time we visited Jing Jo resort. Khun Muk and Rick are friendly as ever, the food is amazing and it’s simply a wonderful tranquil place. Not the place if you’re looking for a 5 star resort, extreme luxury or a party scene but if you want quiet, beautiful starlit nights and personal attention that is great value for money, it’s highly recommended.

GermanyThis is a pearl in the Sam Roi Yot area, a perfect stay to explore all the beautiful beaches, caves, viewpoints and trails from the area. It's so enjoyable to talk with the australian hosts about just anything, they keep the place in a beautiful state and have a great positive energy. The food is just spectacular, every meal in the thai menu is state-of-the-art home cooked, served in a very pleasant varanda with good music, great atmosphere. The bungalows are very confortable with wooden balconies and embedded in an amazing garden, during the night you will probably never have slept in such a quite place in all your life! Thanks for the awesome stay and hope to see you again soon!

RussiaSo a little about the hotel. The hotel is located in an incredibly quiet location at the foot of the mountain. Consists of several small cozy wooden bungalows. There is no TV in them if it is important to someone, although I think that everyone comes here for peace. Incredible view. Super friendly hosts. A married couple, where a Thai wife will cook for you an incredible Tom Yam for dinner, and an English-speaking husband who is able to tell about everything in the area and advise on the best route. But that's not all, there is a stunning beach nearby, where you will be completely alone. If you don't feel like using your car, just ask the owners for a motorbike. They will kindly provide it. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, if you are a smoker like me, do not forget to buy cigarettes, the nearest 7-11 6 km. Overall, I really liked it. Calm and comfort. And I already miss the dogs that met me every morning on the porch of the bungalow.

Germany19 dogs is a little bit too much considering all of them running towards us when entering and leaving the property, also very loud barking and howling starting early mornings. I paid for an additional bed which was only a mattress and still covered completely in plastic, therefore very loud when moving on it during the night. Unbelieavable was the owner who told me to "grow up" and offered me to face my "fear of dogs" :-D I grew up with dogs, so that's not an issue. But a sum of 19 dogs in total are not suitable for renting out accomodation. This should have been clearly stated in the description of the property.
Wonderful view of the surrounding mountains
