The pillows were a bit too hard but that's just personal preference.

My husband and I absolutely loved this place. Mr Bao, his wife and team could not do enough for you. Facilities were clean and provided a great base for seeing the local area. The pool area was lovely. We have never had such a stunning view from a hotel room. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This accommodation is incredible, you have instant jungle vibes and luxury at the same time when you arrive. Getting between the building on the walking path is so much fun. We were blown away from the start. The staff is the most friendly and welcoming we've ever seen. It was my girlfriends birthday during our stay and they baked a cake for her and it was delicious. The food in general is amazing, I strongly recommend trying the Pad Kra Pao which is by far the best in Thailand. Everything from the pool to room is super clean, it smelled very nice when we entered the room. Sitting on the balcony in the comfy chairs and enjoying the sounds and views of the jungle was definitely a highlight. The food and drinks (beers, waters, soft drinks, fresh juices) served are at local prices, so don't worry about having to go into town. We booked our day tour with them and we're satisfied and pretty sure we paid less then others on the same tour. thank you for the stay.

Excellent hotel! Really recommended. We travelled through Thailand several times but this hotel has by far the best price/quality! We were surprised about the food. Due to bad weather we decided to try the restaurant of the hotel. It was really amazing. It is a family owned restaurant. Again the best price/quality in Thailand( yes we stayed also in expensive 5 star hotels, but compared to this hotel is worthy for a three star lodge)

Taking into account the low cost, there wasn't much we didn't like. The AC turning off when you went out wasn't great, but it's cheap. The bathrooms weren't the fanciest, but it's cheap. Etc.

The owner, Mr Bao and his wife couldn't be more friendly or helpful - they bend over backwards to make your stay pleasant and are the consummate hosts. I would say they were the friendliest hosts we had in a 2-week Thailand trip. They were really good with our young boys, and nothing was too much trouble - Mr Bao even ran us into town one night for dinner and gave us his WhatsApp so we could ring to be collected - amazing! The view was, well rather good, especially from our 2-bedroom family villa - straight back out over jungle to a huge limestone karst mountain. The food was great, and we thought overall it was an amazing value for a low cost.

Nothing not to like!

Everything to like. Beautiful place, run by the very accommodating Mr Bao and family. They helped us with tours and hotel transfer, and also lifts into the village whenever we wanted. It was a highlight of the trip. Also their restaurant is brilliant food and good prices.

Activites are quite expensive and not organized by the hotel so they were disappointing. But I don't hold Mr Bao responsible as he is not in charge of the organization of the activities ; he's just an intermediary.

Mr Bao and his family are super friendly and helpful. We love staying there! The food was amazing, the swimming pool is a big plus (and very well maintained!). The room was clean and comfortable.

We are family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids, and booked 1 night. This place is like a oasis of relaxation and shortly after arrival we realized that we wished to stay more. It has just 5 bungalows and it was fully booked. Our bungalow was a family one (2 rooms) with separate entrances but connected through its own balcony. Very clean, nice touches, beautiful views, shaded pathways, small pool to relax, 5 minutes walking from a elephant sanctuary and a mini market. This seems like a small establishment, but Mr Bao, the owner, goes above and beyond and it is one of the most simple and honest person we met in Thailand. Besides the breakfast option, he has also a small menu for lunch and dinner with reasonable prices for food and drinks if you do not want to leave the place. He also offered free rides and pick up to the close village where you can enjoy many restaurants, massages or other activities. Upon our arrival he helped us right the way to book 2 days/1 night tour on the lake for the 2nd day. Highly recommended tour. We will never forget the experience. Basic bungalow on the water, ours had bathroom also. After finishing the tour, he found us a driver to take us to the Donsak Pier to take ferry to Koh Samui. The driver was kind, professional, helpful with things we needed. Nice clean car. We felt safe all the way. Thailand has a lot of places and tours to offer, but very often is hard to differentiate the quality of services for the price. Highly recommend Mr's Bao place and his services.

This hotel is exceptional in every way.. as a family of two adult couples we stayed here as people who enjoy luxury stays. Mr Bao is a gracious and helpful host who along with his wife, who by the way makes the best food in Thailand... Make your stay relaxing, stress free and very welcomed. They are both the kindest people who go above and beyond to make your stay as good as can be, which included catering for my wife's celiac and vegetarian needs. Mr Bao helped arrange some excursions and transfers and provided helpful tips and didn't even grumble about the obscene amount of luggage we brought 😀 The villas are clean, well equipped and very comfortable and the food as mentioned is delicious and seriously possibly the best we had in Thailand. The hotel has incredible views and has a lovely pool which we had to ourselves when we used it. You will not find better value anywhere, and you will not find anywhere that makes you feel more welcome in such beautiful surroundings. 10 out 10 Thanks for a wonderful stay Mr Bao

Amazing location and amazing hosts. The resort is located in a quiet location just a bit outside of Khao Sok (the resort offers a free transfer regularly) Mr. Bao and his wife are very very friendly and nice people who are always ready to help. They also helped us to organise several tours and a transfer from the airport. The food is delicious (better than in a restaurant!!) and the breakfast is very nice too. The bungalows have everything one needs for a nice relaxed holiday in the nature. Thank you Mr. Bao!

Absolutely nothing

Amazing jungle views. Hotel was family owned and what a lovely family they were. Hotel is right in the jungle, with a balcony outlooking all the wildlife- it was an incredible experience Mr bao went above and beyond from the second we arrived. We arrived by coach a mile up the road and there was already transport waiting for us as we got off- which wasn’t arranged prior. He was able to show us different excursions available to the national park and booked them for us including transport there and back. Mr Bao even offered to take us and pick us up from the local village where there are bars and other restaurants free of charge. We also got to learn some extra Thai during our stay thanks to Mr Bao! We are so grateful this trip made our entire visit to Thailand so special. We got to feed the fish in his pond at the resort, and finally the staff also helped us book transport to our next location at a really cheap price. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to visit Khao sok, and I hope we can come back here one day! So cheap for the experience you get I would be happy to pay more for his experience again!

Not much. The beds weren‘t great. Not many options for breakfast. But it was still good and enough.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and always tried to make our stay as pleasent and easy as possible. We also had a great night safari in the national park guided by Sky, who spoke english very well and did know a lot about the plants and animals at khao sok. We loved the banana pancakes for breakfast.

The calmness, the green and the view from the room.. it was perfect. The hosts are really loving and welcoming and will arrange anything for you. The food was (indeed like what I read in other reviews!) - delicious, made with love 🥰 100% recommend staying here.

The owner Mr Bao is very charismatic, helpful and really funny. He was more than happy to run people into town and pick them up. Our room was very spacious, and had a large shady balcony. Mr Bao arranged a birding guide for us, Mr Kai who was excellent. All the food we had here was excellent. We can’t recommend this place highly enough.
