This is an exceptional place to stay. Out in the green, stunning view and very quiet area. Perfect to calm down and enjoying nature. Tasty food cooked by the owner family. I will be back next time

We got here really late, the owners were waiting for us and even prepared us a meal before going to bed. The view with the sunrise in the morning is definitely a plus.

Lovely accommodating owners and beautiful views from the balcony. Free buffet breakfast was tasty too and a nice surprise! We only stayed here one night but would’ve loved to have stayed longer.

This is small family run resort by the mountains of Mae Hong Son. The owner Chuap is a very humble, kind and soft spoken. We were 8 bikers who rode from Malaysia to Mae Hong Son. We stayed at the luxury rooms. The units were cosy and beautiful with big balconies looking into the horizon. The resort itself is situated in a quiet area in Khun Yuam some 200 meters away from the road. You will have to ride or drive off road (which is driveable with any kind car or motorcycle) to reach the place. It is a very quiet, peaceful and scenic place. I have been to Mae Hong Son many times and I will definitely say that this is the best place to stay in Khun Yuam. There is a restaurant at the resort that overlooks the horizon where food is prepared by the owners and their children. Very tasty Thai food! Tasty food, cold beer, friendly people and a beautiful view! Worth every Thai Baht. We will return to stay here again.

Family owned hotel, with the nicest people running it. Be sure to stop here when doing mae hong son loop. The food was truely amazing and one of the best meals i had in Thailand, they also have everything you need after a day of riding thai roads. (beer e.g.) The view in the morning is simply stunning. Coffee tea and toast in the morning is free. Great balcony as well.

Only very minor comments but there was a mosquito screen missing in the bathroom.

We had the top floor room and it was absolutely stunning. The room was very well set out with 1 very large, very comfortable bed and one smaller equally comfortable bed. The bathroom is also great with a jungle theme.

If you like nature, quietness and genuine hosts, pick this place. View from room is superb, sunrise from balcony (sunset spot nearby at temple), hosts are really enjoying welcoming you and this sincerity, very hard to find. Dinner available, same options like everywhere. Rooms are very tidy. Dont focus on appearances: some equipement pieces are a bit old or messy but it does not impact the room, the warmth of the owners and the views! Not to be missed 😚🇧🇪

High floor luxury room was incredible. One of the best rooms we have had so far in 7 months travelling. Incredible views across the forest especially at sunrise. The owner is very friendly and the on-site restaurant is very convenient for some good Thai food.

Nice room with a fantastc view. A balcony to enjoy the sunset and have a drink. They offer a good selection of food because you are far away from the village. They even sell great vintage military jackets. We had a lovely stay.

There was nothing to dislike!

Situated 3 kms from town , Khunyuam Resort really is a hidden gem and the setting is stunning, amazing views! I’m travelling by bicycle and Gep and his wife Kai and their daughters were so welcoming and hospitable. They have a fully stocked bar and restaurant and the food is excellent. Their daughter also has an in-house shop selling beautiful jewellery and clothes. Beautiful rooms with terraces and panoramic views. Wish I could have stayed longer!

- The host was efficient and friendly. They lent us a hairdryer although we had one room which was a budget room. The deluxe room was well-equipped. - The view of the valley was gorgeous and the area was remote and hence tranquille. - There was a big spread for the breakfast (we paid an add-on) and it was value for money. The homemade rice porridge was delicious! - There was a bamboo bridge within the compound and it also allowed a scenic appreciation of the mountains.
