he whole area lacks comfy seats, only wooden chairs/loungers are available. warm water in the shower did not work reliably, but most of the times. big stains on the walls in the room.

great hospitality and delicious thai dishes. hosts are super friendly and supportive. free pickup from the pier. breakfast a la carte. huts are basic. sandbeaches are 10-15min away by scooter, which can be rent here.

There is nothing I didn’t like about the property, it was just what I wanted.

The property was a typical Thai style stilted bungalows on the beach. This was the other end of the island to where the boat drops you off. However, you get a free transfer from the pier to the property by the owner who is absolutely loverly. They rented me a scooter (without having to hand over my passport)to get round the island. (This is essential no matter where on the island you stay)

The houses were not in the greatest condition, don't expect an insect-free place. Ants and geckos are in the room, if you do not have a problem with this, you should be fine

A mosquito net for the bed or windows to be able to sleep with the windows open would be nice (managed anyway by taping the corners of the curtain to the wall)

The location on the beach amongst the trees. Huge porch with hammock. Had a couple of problems with the bungalow at first but they were easily sorted out. Friendly, helpful owners. Dogs and cats. Book exchange. Excellent breakfast included in the price. Being able to make tea, coffee, hot chocolate and take things from the fridge at any time, night or day.

Great family runned resort with lovely staff. Wooden bungalow with a hammock on the porch and a seaview just like the old days.

overpriced for what it offers: rustic wooden stand-alone rooms looks like everything is 20+ years old, cottages more like "glamping".can't swim in water, too rocky. nice views though. rooms dirty, uncomfortable stained bed. bugs, large gaps in floors, many lizards, mosquitos in room at night. openings in wall from bath to outside; bugs in there too. no hot water, seawater used in bathroom sink/shower !- aircon barely worked- rented motorcycle brakes bad, steering off -junk- rooms open, unaccommodating request for different room even though had vacancies- cleaners look unhappy and didn't offer to clean room, towels, tp, water until i asked that evening. paid xtra breakfast- bland food small portion- 1" piece of bacon fat- bologna, 2 eggs, hotdog & juice- gave to dogs on property. there are many other accommodations on koh mak for you. sorry to my wife for that bad experience - I write a lot of reviews and this is the only one I've had to be negative about on our 2 month extended honeymoon.

Unfortunately the mattress was too hard for and there wasn’t a proper duvet, just two small blankets, I was not able to sleep so I checked out early Aside from this, the property was lovely, it just wasn’t for me

I liked how the bungalows had plenty of space between each other and close to the sea. Very secluded spot. Bungalows basic but you get what you pay for! Fully recommend.

I accidentally stepped on a lizard and then It ran away. I hope it's okay.

Bungalows cozy and clean. Staff super nice and helpful. Restaurant has the best red curry I've ever had (food was amazing in general). Location very beautiful and quiet.
