Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesExercise room should open at 6 am.
The location is good. The breakfast was very good with many options. The room had good air conditioning, hot water and Wi -Fi. I went to exercise and did not find it open in the morning. A sign on the door says open at 12 pm. It was a good value.

United KingdomSet outside the town centre. Quite a walk to the tourist sights and tricky to cross the river unless in a taxi. Air con is ok but not strong and not in all the public areas.
Nice big business style hotel on the river. Good size rooms that are clean with comfy beds. Handy for station.

United KingdomNeeds a bit of refurbishing. Slowest lift in the world ! Don’t know why their outside is called a “pub”
The hotel itself was lovely! Reception staff were pleasant . Rooms were good and nice shower. Location was good - if you wanted to be near the station - but rubbish if you wanted to be across the river. It was either a tuc tuc ride or a ferry which was by the station.

CanadaThere was a bit of a language barrier with no-one conversant in english at the front desk but they did try very hard. Perhaps that led to the other issue, we were not told of all the amenities of the hotel and had to discover them for ourselves.
The location was good, overlooking the river and a short walk from the train station and available tuktuks for touring the city. The included breakfast was good and the restaurant had a good selection of food and the patio overlooking the river was great.

United KingdomIt has a grand hotel vibe as you drag your sweaty body and cases up the impressive curving entrance ramp, but you soon realise it is really just a touring party hotel with occasional weddings. No grand guests and although easy to get too, it's at the cost of a hair-raising high speed tuktuk ride around the complex highway interchange system of Ayutthaya, a 3km as the crow flies becomes at least 10 going back and forth just to get across the river. Tiresome and dangerous as despite The Ayutthaya tuk tuks snazzy and colourful fibreglass '2 bench bodies" being a great source of pride to their owners they would be lethal at freeway speeds. If i stayed again I would look for a hotel in the middle of the river "island" nearer the Wats and sights and make the tuk tuk tour from there. A Grab taxi would get you to your hotel for the same price the tuk tuk drivers wanted.
Very grand entrance and reception large public areas, pool, riverside outdoors garden, restaurants and corporate/wedding area with impressive chandeliers, art works. Very clean and it is only 600 metres to Ayutthaya Railway station.although easy

United StatesAir conditioning seemed to need refreshing as it smelled a bit musty at times. More luggage racks. Extra bed pillows would be nice. We enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast had good options - local Thai dishes, and also good selection of fruit and salads. Pastries were best we've tasted outside France! Coffee excellent, appreciated a real pot of coffee, not a machine. Staff were very helpful and printed a VISA for us. We liked the decor of the hotel and our riverside location.

BelgiumThe housekeeping for the rooms, there were days that I leave my room after 10am and that I came back to my room at 13pm and the room was not cleaned up, and that I have to ask for to do it.

CanadaStaff very nice and helpful. But staff at reception not very receptive or helpful. I overheard many reflect this view. A 20 minute wait for rooms turned into a two- hour wait. No information forthcoming or offer to check luggage or water or status.

BelgiumIt is not really a negative point if you are a railway fan (as I am), but the diesel trains do make a lot of noise when they pass at 100m from the hotel and your room is at the railway side. Note: it is quiet at night.

CanadaThe staff didnt speak much English - not really helpful for us to get a taxi or tuktuk - we had to speak to them parked outside to strike a bargain to the old city. They dont have to speak excellent English but a bit more helpful to understand us would've been good.
A large hotel by the river. Its outside of the tourist attraction so we had to find our mode of transportation to get the old city. Its a pity they didnt have a large room for our family of three so we had to book two rooms beside each other. The breakfast was okay, but more Asian style breakfast and slim for choices like yogurt. Dinner at this hotel was outstanding. It was worth the price and more. Both nights we ate at the hotel over looking the river - we even got a discount. The food is outstanding its the best, if you stay here you must try their food at the main restaurant as they have Italian and Chinese and we didnt eat there. Traditional Thai food is so good and well presented. The rooms were comfortable. No English channels on tv for news.
