Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We absolutely loved Ko Kood, in no small part down to our stay at Kuba! It is positioned in a great location to reach lots of amazing beaches, access the waterfalls, and find bars/restaurants/markets too. The hosts were really friendly and gave us great recommendations about what to do on the island. We rented scooters directly from the property, managed to get a load of laundry done, and the breakfasts at Kuba were delicious (super tasty pancakes) and there was coffee and homemade cakes available too - all really reasonably priced. Our room itself was perfect for a couple - a lovely bamboo hut with ensuite and a little balcony - perfect! The owners are also in the process of adding a larger building on site, so it will very soon be a great place for a family to stay. Highly recommend Kuba Bungalows to anyone staying in Ko Kood - overall great value for money and a really enjoyable experience (and you get to meet the two lovely dogs!!)

United KingdomEverything, especially the hosts.
Wow the hosts Goong an Baz (English) were amazing! We had chats with them every day about the island which was so nice, lovely people who will do everything for you. The porridge with fruit was lovely and also the eggs from their own chickens. They had bikes to hire which were great value and good for going around the island. They had good recommendations for restaurants and they also do their own food. Baz recommended the snorkelling/diving trip which was good value and worth every penny, very well organised. There place is in the best location on the island, near the best restaurants and beaches. They have two very freindly dogs which we loved to see. We will return.

ThailandWe loved our stay. Super helpful and friendly hosts. They let us check in early and gave us lemonade and buns in arrival. As we were checking out they helped us re-book all of the transport to get to Pattaya as there had been a problem with our online booking. Beautiful little huts with only enough walking space to get around, but it wasn't a problem as we put the bags under the bed. Rented a motor bike and found the bungalows central locations was good to explore Koh Kood from. Very clean, amazing service, beautiful place- would stay again!

The bungalow was so lovely and spotless! We loved the outdoor porch area which was really nice to chill on in the evening and play cards. Kung is the most amazing host, she became a good friend of ours. She cooks the best Thai food we have ever tasted and was so generous and hilarious! Thank you so much Kung.

GermanyWe felt very comfortable. The bungalow in which we are used to is made of bamboo and everything around it is very green and has great plants. There are many chickens on the property itself, which we found very personable and beautiful. That means there were always fresh eggs. We found the breakfast very tasty and convenient. generally really really good dishes. Homemade ice cream and cake sweetened our day. We think the Cuba Lounge was a really nice little oasis. It was also practical that we could rent the scooter directly on site. We would like to come back. thank you for the hospitality ☀️

FranceThe bungalow is not big, don't be afraid to leave your luggage outside. But it fears nothing 😉
A welcome drink, explanations on the island, things to do, to see. Baz, the boss was perfect! the bamboo bungalows are charming, nestled in a pretty corner of greenery. Large comfortable bed, mosquito net, hot water, a great experience! The breakfast served by Madame is great, homemade and plentiful. Motorbike are available with helmet or not . Perfect value for money 🙂

This was such a fantastic place to stay. The owners where friendly and chatty and prepared us delicious breakfasts every morning, including fresh fruits they grow on their property. They also helped us book our ferry to Koh mak which was so helpful! Scooter hire is 250 baht so really easy to sort. The bungalow itself was brilliant, really cozy and just such a cool place to stay! If you're looking for something truly unique on the islands then this is the place.

NetherlandsThe current bungalows are quite small, not really suited for large suitcases. Perfect for single travelers, definitely doable for couples.
I loved my stay here, came for a couple of days and stayed a week longer. The hosts are amazing, very friendly, chill and helpful. Motor bikes are available for rent for a fair price and the food is great quality. Very chill place to get rested. Definitely would recommend.

Kung & Baz simply cannot do enough to make you feel comfortable. Do not bother trying to find somewhere else to eat, Kung's food was the best we had on the island, and we tried a few top-rated places. The bungalows are really good quality, the garden is beautiful, and the atmosphere is great. Baz & Kung are super chilled and very well suited to customer facing roles. We are already talking about our return trip to Koh Kood to stay here again ❤️

ThailandWe had an amazing time at Kuba and we totally recommend their bungalows and the restaurant. The bungalows are new and cozy, very clean. Bas and Kung are amazing hosts, they will make sure you feel like at home and will give you all the tips to explore the island, help you with bookings, scooter, etc. They also provided us with many vegan options and were always happy to help. They grow their own veggies and bake their own yummy bread. We will definitely come back! Thank you!
