Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceUnfortunately, we went during a time where there was A LOT of burning going on. At night, there was a wildfire (not sure if controlled) and the smoke got so intense and it seeped into the not-so-insulated glamping tents. The staff was apologetic (not their fault) and did everything to help ease the situation, bringing in air purifiers. They arranged a cab to come pick us up. Sadly we did not get to enjoy all of the activités, like Kayaking on the river, but again, this was just due to the time of the year. I would suggest doing some research on when burning season is and avoid it. Some people complain about the staff not speaking English, but they went above and beyond with translation apps and messaging on WhatsApp. Not a problem at all.
The setting is incredible. It is VERY remote, off a dirt road and on the River Kwai. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The “glamping” style villas are so tastefully done and comfortable. They all sit on the hill overlooking the river and nature below. The food was great, and the pool was beautiful.

Czech RepublicNot really
Great value for money, the staff was great and very accomendating although they did not speak much English, using Google translate worked fine. Room was clean and I think we had the one with the best view (102) overlooking the river. We also had the entire resort to ourselves which added to the experience.

United KingdomA tiny issue is the staff spoke very limited English but this didn’t bother us as we managed fine on Google translate. I would really advise this is not an issue. The other thing I’d mention is we didn’t love the quality of the sheets - they were a silky finish which we found a bit sweaty in the night, plus slipped around a lot as you moved so I would advise to the hotel to replace these to standard cotton. ( we still slept very well despite this!)
We absolutely loved our stay at the fantastic La Levee. From the day we arrived, the staff were fantastic at answering and obliging to any request we had. The setting is breathtaking, perched on the u-bend of the river, overlooking the mountains and the perfect spot to see the sun setting over them. The room was impeccable, a lovely cosy yet spacious cabin with everything you need, and a stunning private balcony (we had river view). We had our 3.5 year old son with us and they set up a decent bed for him on the floor next to us, and there was still room to move around. We loved the swimming pool, very serene and plenty of levels where our son could stand and he loved climbing up onto each of them (with us). The activities were fantastic too, we can’t believe so many were free for the price we paid for the room. The zip line and quad bikes (did with our son) were big highlights for us - we asked the staff to take us on a long route and this was wonderful! The food in the cafe was delicious - we stayed for 3 nights and just about exhausted the menu, everything was very nice but we wouldn’t recommend the local curry as this was more like a watery broth without much flavour. People mention it being an issue that the cafe closed early but this didn’t bother us as we retreated to our room and played cards on the balcony - bliss! Finally, we had the whole resort practically to ourself for 3 nights (1 or 2 couples came and went). We cannot fathom why, this place is absolute heaven and deserves to be full up with customers every night. If you are thinking of booking, please do it, you’ll have the highlight of your trip there!

GermanyThe lunch situation was a bit unclear to us. The restaurant and cafe is closed during the day. When we inquired about lunch, the restaurant was opened especially for us. The next few days we simply ordered some additional sandwiches at breakfast we would then have for lunch. Not a big deal for us.
Very nice resort with a view of the river. The 'tents' are more comfortable than most hotel rooms. The staff is exceptional but has very limited English skills. Various supervised activities such as climbing, canoeing, ziplining and archery are offered in the morning and late afternoon. There isn't much to do the rest of the day besides chilling at the very nice pool or doing something on your own. The food in the restaurant is also very good and fair priced. However, it closes relatively early around 8 p.m. There will be no bar or other entertainment afterwards. It is also closed through the day time.

United KingdomMenu is a little restricted but if there is something you like, you can just have it a few times. We found a few very tasty dishes.
Amazing place, amazing location and exceptional staff. The activities were fun. Don’t be put off by the fact that it is glamping- the rooms are lovely and you feel you are. In the jungle because you hear it. The view was completely stunning.

NetherlandsAs we didn’t have our own transportation, and as you are miles away from anywhere really, the fact that the restaurant closed at 8PM - and you had to leave with nowhere else to go but your room - was a bit disappointing..
The scenery and views from the room/apartment/galmping tent as well as from the restaurant were simply stunning. The activities in the morning and late afternoon fun and varied - we tried kayaking (strong current! 😁), quad riding and zip line… Pool was really nice as well. The staff was really lovely - inviting and always cheerful!! The food at breakfast and dinner great. Such a tranquil and relaxing place!

FinlandThere could've been more fresh fruit for breakfast but well, that's really not a problem. The river is beautiful but there's a bit of scary feeling about swimming in it because there's no "beach" and the stream seemed pretty strong. You can use paddle boards etc for free but we didn't try them.
The place is very nice, peaceful and beautiful. The personnel speak almost no English but everyone was extremely kind and helpful and google translator was very useful. The room is exceptionally comfy with amazing view over the river and mountains. It's far away from any shops etc so you need to get a taxi to go even to seven eleven. The breakfast is a set dish from 5 choises plus they have cereals and yoghurt. Also there are no western restaurant nearby (not that we knew of anyway) so we ate both evenings at the hotel. The food was very good, mainly asian choices. To arrive to the place we took a train from Kanchanaburi (River Kwai Bridge). Train was 100 baht per person and took 2 hours. From Nam Tok station to hotel the sawn-thaw taxi cost 300 baht but we negotiated it to 200. On one day we took same type of taxi to Erawan waterfalls, one hour drive and taxi for whole day was 1500 baht. The national park admission was 300 baht per person. Taxi waited us the whole time so we could spend as long as we wanted walking among the waterfalls.

Lots of FREE guided activities like quad biking, rock climbing, rope climbing, archery, SUP, kayaking. The friendliest staff!!! The beautiful views of the river and mountains from our room. Staff helped us with booking transport for activities outside the hotel. It's a small resort with about 10 bungalows (as counted by us) so there is no crowding at the restaurant, activities, and pool. We mostly had the big nice pool to ourselves.

ThailandNeed really to improve gps location -or install a few sign on the road. Hotel have a huge fish pond who looked same a swimming pool when i booked . Little bit disapointed when i saw the fish pond who is also very nice . But why not build a swimming pool? You cannot swimm in the river also Because of the water currents.
A very original hotel with a few good idea on room design. The view at cafe is stunning . The cafe heself is very nice . If you look for a non commun hotel .choose this one Breakfast and coffee very good . Atv drive , arch, kayak is free or include . That s another plus I really like it.

United KingdomEven though there was a lot of crew on the ground there wasn’t really anyone managing the resort and looking after the guests. The crew did their best but they were just young kids with zero experience of managing a resort of this size and of this quality. This meant that all services offered were at an amateur level even though the infrastructure is top notch and could easily enable a great experience. They really need to hire a seasoned manager who can orchestrate the whole thing.
The facilities, the room and the resort design are impeccable!
